Iâd read a few poor reviews of the Derwent Bridge Chalets & Accommodation, and they turned out to be totally unfounded. We stayed in a Narcissus Studio and it was very comfortable. I didnât expect the room to have a microwave and toaster (they werenât specified) so we were able to make breakfast. Great location for Lake St Clair.
Only downside - there was no WiFi. But 4G signal was fine.
Everything was fantastic, 10 out of 10. The Shalet was spotless, it had a lovely wood fire and an electric heater. The rooms were all done in wood panelling, there was kitchen and laundry facilities and the spa bath was a lovely extra touch. Despite the rainy weather, we were very cosy and warm.
Our little cabin was cozy and easy to access. The bed was relatively comfortable but theres not a great deal of space to manouvre around it easily. The heater is a godsend on cold nights and heats up the room fairly quickly. It was a relatively simple cabin, but it had everything we needed and we were comfortable.
Excellent self contained unit (clair). Had everything we needed for self catering. Was warm, comfortable and quiet. Bed was great and location was perfect for exploring nearby national park. Only downside was no free wifi. Would definitely recommend.
We loved staying here for the night. The spa was so relaxing after a few hiking stops on the way. Bed super comfy and all the creature comforts of home.
