Great property but


We stayed at this property for 4 nights, and for the most part had a good stay, but there was a large problem that impacted our stay. The condo has a queen size bed and pull out couch, and we arrived at like 10pm and were ready to collapse into bed. After searching the entire unit, there was no bedding for the pull out couch . I immediately contacted customer service, and it took 2 FULL DAYS for them to actually get the bedding to us. The first night my husband had to sleep with one sheet taken from the queen bed and beach towels as blankets as I was on the other bed with our young daughter. The shower wasn’t filthy but the grout was pretty gross and there was some body wash dripping the down wall so it obviously wasn’t scrubbed. The floors were also pretty dirty (your feet turned brown walking on them bare). The unit itself was a nice size, had a washer/dryer which was very handy, the golf and pool access was perfect, the main bed was comfy (the pullout was not comfy and also had a yellow stain on the mattress ). The kitchen was actually nicely stocked and ever had some Rubbermaid containers for good storage which most places don’t. Overall if it wasn’t for the bedding issue it would have been a great stay. They did offer a small refund due to the trouble which was nice but still two days without proper bedding isn’t great.

Great location / Not enough essentials

Great location with awesome beach access but hardly any essentials for a week stay. No coffee filters, 2 trash bags, 1 dish washer soap, no dishwashing liquid, no shampoo or soap, 1 laundry pod. Also the upstairs is load. any movement from the people living upstairs and you will hear it.

Destin Getaway

The location and accommodations were perfect for what we were looking for. We just took a 3 day getaway to see the beach and water, and even though it was chilly, we got both of those plus some great restaurants and drinks. The location was very convenient to restaurants, shops and ocean and check in process and communication with Vacasa was easy. Only issue was hot tubs not available or working but no fault of theirs. Thanks for a great getaway!

The only problem we had was two times our code didn’t work to get in. Had to call and have it reset. Condo is not 1 min from beach as it says but there is private gated parking at the private beach. We enjoyed our stay

Everything was more than I expected. From fans in the bedroom to enough linens and very clean. I’m coming back next month and I would stay here again if it was available. This is the nicest one I have stayed in this community.

Great stay!

Very clean, convenient and close to the beach. We were in short driving distance to major attractions and restaurants. The condo area was well kept we had no problems with loud tenants. The beach was less than 5 min away and parking right in front of the beach. We will stay here again!

Short But Sweet

Our stay was mainly for business and it was so nice to come back to the condo after running errands all day. It felt like home and the short time we were able to venture out we enjoyed walking the private beach and touring the complex with all of its amenities. Fantastic complex to stay.

Not staying again at this unit

Very cute condo with such potential if it were free of rodents- My husband and I were watching a movie around midnight Friday when a large mouse ran across the floor. I called Vacasa mgmt but they said they couldn’t help until the next day. When no one called the next morning, I called back and the rep said he couldn’t contact anyone locally and was it okay if he called me back. No one called back Sat or Sun or came to set traps. When I asked if we’d be refunded if we decided to leave the next day, the rep said he couldn’t guarantee that. There were small roaches on the kitchen counters, inside the dishwasher, and on the walls. We didn’t cook in the kitchen due to this. The AC worked well in living room but the bedroom was very warm, especially the night after the mouse because we shut the doors hoping to keep out the rodent. This made the accommodations very uncomfortable.

It's just an OK unit

Sandpiper Cove is a great community and very friendly residents/other guests. Lots of dogs which we loved! Close to just about anything you need and within walking distance. About a mile to Target & Winn Dixie. To the unit: We were greeted with a musty smell that lingered for days. Just did not feel clean or refreshing! There were 2 umbrellas but no beach chairs or the sand screw for them. We ended up buying the sand screw and two cheap beach chairs from target (which we left for other guests as no way to get them home) Renting these on the beach is over $40 a day! TV's sucked! On vacation but would still like to catch up on local news or shows. Bring your Netflix and/or other streaming services. Don't stay in this unit unless you see a receipt for bug exterminating service. Enough said about that! Dishwasher was very temperamental and hard to get on. Unit is small but OK for 2. We will research and stay at another unit in Sandpiper Cove

Bugs everywhere

First thing when we walked in, we noticed Bugs were on the walls, crawling out of the sink, on the couches. The place smells like mildew and has a very humid/moist feel inside. The location is great and the rest of the Sandpiper Cove area seems great. There is access to a private beach, with a small bar inside the access point. The bugs and smell were enough to keep us from renting with this company again.

Great location and price but multiple issues

Upon arriving, the unit was at best moderately clean. There were bugs (alive and dead), dishes were mostly dirty and sheets on the bed were at least stained, if not left dirty. Additionally, the A/C in the unit was not functioning properly causing uncomfortable warmth during the day and sleeping wasn’t pleasant. After 3 days of trying to contact the facility and Vacasa, it was finally addressed. The shower drain was clogged upon arrival with a large amount of hair, which was also resolved after 3 days. On the 5th day of the trip, Vacasa finally contacted me about the bugs in the unit, saying they would send someone out but they never came. The representative was not aware of the dirty sheets, clogged shower drain or the AC issues. The review is only at 2 stars due to price and location, but the overall guest experience was not great. Communication was a big issue as well as the unresolved bug issue. Note - come prepared with plenty of household essentials. There was no hand soap. Only 2 trash bags, 1 laundry detergent use, 1 dishwasher detergent use, and 1 paper towel were provided for our 6-day reservation. Management left enough of the essentials for a 2-day stay, much less than needed for a 6-day stay. Also, come prepared with all food essentials if planning on cooking. There are no basic essentials such as salt/pepper or cooking oil provided. I would likely come back to this particular condominium location but look for units not managed by vacasa.
