7 day vacation for us

We found this property online and we booked it through VRBO. The managers of the home were very nice and everything was wonderful from our check in process to how easy they made the whole stay. The property itself is beautiful and super comfortable. We were lucky to enjoy beautiful weather but it didn't prevent us from sitting in front of the fireplace for our daily coffee and afternoon tea. Thank you for a no surprises week of vacation. Kevin

The house was gorgeous. The views from the balcony were spectacular. The beaches were super crowded both ways we looked but the complimentary beach setup was so nice. Always front and center and a “private” beach so we never felt crowded at all. It was perfect!

Beautiful beach front property!

This property equipped with everything you could possibly need for a family vacation! Andrew is a great communicator and made some great recommendations for the area. The elevator was not operational during our week unfortunately- it would have been helpful for moving luggage up to 3 levels. Otherwise our experience was outstanding!

Stay was wonderful! Property was above and beyond what we expected. Property was directly on the beach. Property managers, Ryan and Andrew were fantastic. We were fortunate enough to get in early. Only had one small problem with beach setup and Andrew had it corrected immediately. Can’t say enough good things about our experience there.

Perfect vacation with friends

This vacation home was perfect for get-away with friends and family. Everyone had their own private space and bathrooms. The home was beautiful, fully stocked with everything we needed, very clean, and an awesome location. The property manager was very responsive and helpful with all our needs. And those ocean view decks were amazing for morning sunrises and coffee, afternoon lounging and breezes, and evening cocktails!

Great Place for a Celebration

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Mer! Big enough to give everyone his/her own space, coupled with plenty of places to join together. Very clean and well-equipped. There is nothing better than enjoying the sunrise and sunset from one of the three balconies. We especially enjoyed the private beach and beach service, the bicycles, the gorgeous kitchen, and the two laundry rooms. An awesome property...highly recommended.

Best vacation ever!!

The property is beautiful and everything we hoped it would be. Having two walls of windows in the main living area was just stunning. Our guests loved that each bedroom had a private bathroom. That was a HUGE perk! The private beach with chairs & umbrellas included was another great perk. We can’t imagine staying at a more perfect property. All future vacations will be measured against this one. There were some minor maintenance issues and the property manager, Andrew, was very responsive & communicated with us very well. I can’t brag on him enough. He was awesome.

Best home we have rented in 20+ years of vacationing at the beach!

This is a beautiful home! The kitchen has every possible appliance and tool you would ever need. The hang out area on the top floor gave my kids a place to play video games. The location is ideal and the chair setups on the beach were an added perk. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fabulous time, our house was gorgeous! Beach access was great, sometimes not quite as private as suggested. The water was beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of our week. Parking however, is a little tight.

Fantastic!

We’ve stayed at a beach front property around this same area for 3 years in a row - we had 6 adults and 7 kids (13,11,9,7, 6, 5, 4). This property is gorgeous and the cleanest we’ve stayed in Destin. Everything worked and was extremely well maintained plus great style. The little pool area was perfect to take a little break from the beach but still see the water. Coffee mornings and sunset evenings were amazing on these patios. The only drawback or room for improvement is that there is a public entry right beside the property and the private beach gets full of public access people because they don’t read the sign and there isn’t a security guard. The private beach got crowded with extremely large tents - was a challenge to get back to the house on the beach. However - the daily 6 beach chair and umbrella service helped as it gives you a front row spot.

JUST INCREDIBLE---can't say enough about this amazing place & experience!

We booked this gorgeous home and loved it so much, we even stayed an extra 2 nights. We had the best experience from the very beginning. Mark was wonderful with communication during the booking process and throughout our stay. We met Andrew at check-in, and he was nothing short of amazing as well. We were kindly greeted with treats which was a hit with all of us after our long drive from Savannah. I am a Realtor in Savannah, Georgia- so I have seen many homes in my career. This place is the BEST of both worlds. Not only is it right on the beach, but a quick golf cart ride gets you to all the shopping you can imagine. We really loved how many places in the house had a view! We (especially I) enjoyed waking up and ending our evenings on the balconies that proudly display the blue water, sounds of the waves, and amazing sunsets. The living spaces are wonderful and open, the decor/furnishings were spectacular and VERY well chosen (beautiful pieces from one of my most favorite companies: Georgia & Lulu), and the functionality of the entire home was carefully thought out and appreciated. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom and the closet space in the bedrooms were exceptional. Having private beach access WITH chairs already set up made life 100X easier and we were able to make so many more stress-free memories because of this! BONUS: There is a laundry room on both floors which made the daunting task of "laundry on vacation" a breeze. We planned on eating out most of our trip (because who really wants to cook on vacation) until we saw how easy cooking was going to be. Everything we needed was already there- pots, pans, cooking utensils, grilling accessories, etc. We loved the home so much that we decided to make lots of memories within the kitchen, grill, and around the dining room table. The kids enjoyed the home equally as much. They felt so comfortable and mentioned feeling "at home" many times. The private dipping pool with beach views really topped everything off for us. Anytime I had a question, Mark & Andrew were on top it. Their commitment and efforts are simply the best. The owners of this home couldn't have chosen a better team to ensure their guests have the best experience possible. A HUGE THANK-YOU to Mark, Andrew, their crew, and the wonderful owners of this home for giving us an unforgettable vacation! This will definitely be a tradition for us and we are excited to make lifelong memories for years to come with you guys!
