This was worse than a pay by the hour hotel. The house reeked of cigarettes and had cigarette burns all over the sofa. There was debris and a large clump of hair on the living room rug, it was apparent it had not been vacuumed. The host then claimed to have sent the cleaning team back yet it was still unsanitary and smelt of smoke. My employee traveling with me was allergic and we had to relocate at one in the morning. I offered to pay 1 night and be refunded as we were not able to stay in the deplorabe accommodations but the host was unwilling to refund our money. I recievied a notice prior to checkin that there was an issue with a previous guest and the front door was not yet able to be repaired but you could tell by the age of the tape on the door it was not a recent issue. I imagine every renter is told the same lie. There was nothing smart about this home other than the TV, it didnt even have a working ice maker and the few dishes it had were junk.
