What a wonderful spot! On the outskirts of town (but walking distane of the shops and train station), secluded outside but spacious for two within, this is somewhere we'd definitely like to return to.With a good sized kitchen and ample living area and outside dining area, this was a refreshing and relaxing place for a few days away, but well located for coastal attractions like Southwold, local nature reserves and historical sites like Grimes Graves. The garden is lovely to watch of a summers evening with birds flitting in and out. Chickens roam nearby so eggs are fresh. Really enjoyed the stay and hope to return some time; thank you!
Very peaceful. Loads of dog friendly places to go. Great pubs only 20min walk. We were left to our own devices which is just what we wanted. Rookery Nooke is very well equipped with everything to make your stay as lovely as possible. We will definitely stay there again. Everyone we met in the area were so welcoming. 10/10
A lovely cottage in a beautiful location, well located for many activities and places to visit, but also ideal to chill. Carol and Philip are excellent hosts, friendly and welcoming, and always willing to help make the stay go well.
The property is lovely,in a perfect location easy access to surrounding area's the hosts are welcoming and friendly just what you would want. This was our second visit and it certainly won't be our last ! . Can't recommend highly enough.
Rookery nook is a lovely quaint cottage, spacious for a one bedroom. Everything you need for a relaxing stay& the garden is a welcome extra if you like to catch the sun. A good base for exploring. Lovely considerate touches on arrival from Carol & Phil, milk in the fridge, biscuits & lovely fresh flowers.. all to make you feel very welcome.
Fabulous! Lovely cottage and the owners are lovely. The cottage is a short walk from Diss as well.
Little touches such as biscuits, milk and bread on arrival was nice.
Nothing bad at all and worth the money.
I decided to treat myself to a little trip away for my Birthday, and Rookery Nook Cottage did not disappoint! I was greeted by Carol on arrival who showed me around and then left me to it. The cottage is delightful, with lots of lovely personal touches, I was even treated to some lovely biscuits.
The garden is stunning, clearly lots of love goes into keeping it that way. The fencing was the ideal height for my Boston Terrier, Frank. If you have a large dog then you will want to keep an eye on them. If you do go with a dog then i recommend taking some blankets to put over the sofas, I took two and that was enough.
There was some lovely routes for walks and Diss town isn't far at all, 5 mins in the car or 25mins by foot.
There is plenty to do in and around Diss, so you won't be bored.
I will definitely be going back for another stay
Thank you so much Carol & Phil
A great countryside location and yet close to the town of Diss with lovely high st independent shops and 3 supermarkets. A delightful cottage with a pretty enclosed garden, it has everything to make you feel cosy and comfortable. Would recommend.
