The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. There was no UK 3 pin socket near the bed to plug in my CPAP machine. The hot water was intermittent. The bed was very uncomfortable. But for the staff, this review would have been 2 stars.

Lovely art deco style building within easy walking distance of the centre of Doncaster, the shops, market, theatre, cinema etc. Friendly staff from first arrival, spacious and clean room. Free parking at the back very useful.

Room 2016 definitely needs renovation, shower over bath, hard to get the water to the right, temperature, some cracked tiles. Mattress was not double on the double bed, there was two single mattresses which was hard to sleep.can not say anything about the bar or breakfast as we did not use it. Not a 4 star in my opinion

Basic room in a good location

The entrance of the hotel and its 1920s glamour ends at the entrance. The room was tired, sockets and lamps didnt work, tiles were chipped in the bathroom. The feathers on the lamp were hanging off. The carpet was in need of some tlc and the bathroom towel heater didnt work either. The staff were friendly but for me the money is spent in the wrong places here, printed napkins and fancy biscuits and Jams, and white company products and forgotten the basics of a beautiful room and good food. The best bit about the hotel was its location to the Doncaster centre and race track.

A very nice hotel, central for Doncaster. Very friendly and professional staff, the rooms are big and clean with freshly changed towels etc (not something you get often these days) and it’s just very stylish with its Art Deco them and history.
