The rooms were adequate. As we were preparing to leave we noticed a large bug crawling on the fridge. We killed it and left it on the floor.

Damp & Stale Room

I booked the room for one night to go to a high school football game. The lobby smell like mothballs which should’ve been my first sign. The bathroom was dirty and had what I’d call the “handyman special” paint and reno attempt. It was damp and stale when I got into the room. I went to Publix to get an air sanitizer hoping by the time the game was over it would be better. It wasn’t. I checked out and drove a couple hours home.

The owner is very nice. When I ask for a certain room when booking she makes sure I get the one I want. It’s quiet, safe and I love staying there.

Nice stay for the price.

Our experience was a good one. We lacked an ironing board and coffee maker in the room but we were good. The room was clean but the towels could have been better. It would have been nice if there was nook to hang our clothes other than hanging them in the restroom. Overall we had a good stay. Breakfast was nice.

Rooms were never serviced at all while we were there, ran out of toilet paper. Only had two towels and two wash cloths to use over 4 days. Nobody even asked of we needed anything. Good price but service sucked!

Hole in the roof in our room. Smelled like mold and mildew, our carpet felt sticky so we kept on our shoes. Door had a big crack in it where we could see the lights outside at night and feel the heat coming in. Overall nasty smell to the room and lobby

The room smelled like smoke. There were no pillow cases on the pillows and they were sitting on a chair in the room. We had to go back to the front desk to ask for pillow cases. When we walked in the room the floor was sticky and dirty. The bathroom was dirty and hair was all over the tub and floor and sink as if the bathroom wasn’t even cleaned. It seemed as if the room was being cleaned and someone walked out in the middle of cleaning and never came back. The front desk man was nice though.

Hotel has been updated within the past 10 years, so that’s a positive. Unfortunately, they need to work on cleanliness. There was a large, dead cockroach in our bathroom when we first arrived. The air conditioner had mold on the vents and the room had a stale musty smell. It is really a missed opportunity for the hotel as the room was otherwise nice with a comfortable bed and good surfaces. With a little extra effort from housekeeping, this could be a decent hotel.
