Quiet and Secluded

Great place to unwind with the family and enjoy the outdoors. Dealing with the management company is a bit of a pain: you pay a booking fee with VRBO, but the remaining balance via the management company's app. It doesn't always work, requiring some back-and-forth via their message system. At the time of booking, you're basically agreeing to full time monitoring by the company, but I only saw a single outdoor camera while staying. The home is great but could use a little TLC. Some amenities like the fireplace and outdoor shower weren't functional at the time of my visit. The mattresses may be a bit overdue for replacement, some of the blinds need a bit of repair, and the main bedroom fan remote was missing with the speed locked to "hurricane mode." The lower recreational area needs a bit of a cleanup as well with some maintenance on the equipment. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives: amazing view, quiet location, with a lot of activities to keep the family engaged.

Tranquility

If you love nature on a remote and peaceful mountain, you have arrived at the right place. This is a unique and beautiful 3 bedroom property with views out of every window. We loved the indoor outdoor patio on two sides of the home consisting of glass garage doors that could be opened to the deck weather permitting. The home has spacious living areas and a gourmet kitchen with ice machine and wine refrigerator. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. All in all a delightful place and met all our expectations.

Such a beautiful setting - inside and out!

Home is beautifully decorated with a Round Top curated appeal. We visited in the fall and were able to open up all the doors to the outside in the evenings for unforgettable dinners al fresco. We hiked nearby Hamilton Pool Reserve, visited Texas Hill County Oil Company for lunch and shopping, took a cooking class, and tasted some delicious wines. It was the perfect girl's trip!

Quintessential Texas Hill Country getaway

This house is beautiful, great indoor/outdoor set up and a perfect spot for a remote getaway. Our group spent the majority of our time on the patio taking in the views, watching the deer, watching football, and stargazing at night.

Don't forget your all wheel drive

Everything about this rental was great. Love the house and the view It is very secluded. No road noise or traffic at all. The driveway could be a problem for cars or if it rains at all. All gravel and steep with a twist. I put the truck in 4x4 to make sure i didn't dig out the driveway anymore. Have good tires on your car and you should be okay.

Incredible Home and Views

The pictures of this home are very good, but the actual home and views are better. The house was beautifully decorated, very clean, and well supplied. We spent most of our time on the open porch enjoying the fresh air and views. Our family have been using VRBO for vacation and travel sports for years, and this home is one of the best.

Beautiful home

We are 3 couples around 70 years old that totally enjoyed our very remote home. The view was expansive from the wrap around porch and sunroom. It was very clean, and so well supplied that you want for nothing. Even had fresh flowers! Very well equipped kitchen, spacious walk in showers, lovely furniture and design esthetics, luxurious bedding and inviting living room all led to a pleasant visit with old friends. As a note to less mobile guests, the home is one level, but there are maybe 15 steps from parking to the front of the house, and some don’t have hand rails. Also, there are numerous, beautiful throw rugs that we found ourselves tripping on sometimes.

Beautiful & Quiet Hill Country Hideaway

Absolutely beautiful house inside and out! Could not ask for a cleaner house on the inside and out, the views from the porches were amazing! Got up extra early to watch the sunrises over the valley. River was really low when we were there however its worth the walk down and found a very nice swimming area to the the left of the stairs leading down to the river about 100 yds or so. Beautifully decorated house with pretty much everything you could need on a vacation other than typical groceries. Hope to rebook the house in the very near future, absolutely loved the closed in porch with fireplace and grill.

Quiet and Relaxing

This property was the perfect escape from the urban madness that is Houston. Stars, crickets, stream burble were featured heavily in this house that perfectly blends indoor/outdoor living. The host and management were very responsive, communicative, and supportive. Although the house functioned flawlessly while we were there. I would highly recommend and will likely stay again myself.

Beautiful setting and clean house

Beautiful property. The house was very clean and well stocked with essentials. Beds were comfortable. The location was very remote and relaxing. Loved being so close to river although it was very steep incline so may not be accessible to some people. The refrigerator had some cooling issues but property mgmt was quick to response and there was a small fridge on patio to use as backup.

Little slice of paradise!

We really enjoyed this home. In the actual Middle of nowhere. Lots of wildlife and peace. Loved the hummingbirds all around the property. Only one complaint, would’ve loved TV’s in the bedrooms and updated ones in common areas.

Perfection on the Pedernales

This house was unbelievable!! Sooo beautiful - comfy - felt like home! Indoor/outdoor area was the coolest thing ever with the glass garage doors you could open or close depending on weather. Loved the fireplace!!! The views are absolutely incredible!!! This house sits by itself - no other house in sight. The perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of city life!!! The check in and check out was so simple!!! The host was super responsive by text and very kind. I would go back to this house again and again!!!!
