I booked a stay last minute due to finding out that my grandma who lives in Pleasanton was declining in health very quickly. Upon arrival at the hotel I walked into a party in the lobby with an unnecessarily LOUD DJ, so loud that I was basically shouting to the front desk staff. When I attempted to check in, I was told that there were no rooms left despite me having a reservation. Since I reserved through Hotels.com, Aloft staff blamed them and said that there was some sort of “confusion”. They said they weren’t gonna charge me (which was true) and that I’d have to contact Hotels.com directly for it. This left me to frantically look for another stay somewhere else last minute (and no, Aloft staff did not assist with any alternatives). Luckily I found a

We checked in past 9:00 pm and the staff person was very welcoming. Unfortunately, on our first try the keys did not work so we had to return to reception but no one was there. While we didn’t have to wait long, we were tired so this extra step with the keys was not a great start. The room is clean and has several amenities and the bed is comfortable. Overall, this is a nice, modern place to stay.
