The good: 6 minutes walking to Croke stadium, right by bus stops and great breakfast
The bad: Small rooms, no closets and uncomfortable beds
The ugly: we booked 3 months in advance for a 5 days stay. We paid a month in advance. We checked in on the day our reservation started but 3 days in, our dog got sick and we needed to return home a day earlier. I explained to the front desk that we needed to return home a day earlier and see if we could get a refund for the last day that we weren’t going to be there. They told me to write to reservations. I exchanged 6 emails with a reservation representative explaining the situation and they said that their cancellation policy doesn’t allow refunds, that changes to our reservation could be done 14 days prior to arrival!
Well, I didn’t know my dog was going to get sick 14 days prior to us arriving!!
I understand policies, and it was our intention to stay the whole time we reserved, but they didn’t budge. It was all about the money and none about caring for guests that stayed 4 nights and had an unforeseen situation.
