Rooms in upper floors requiring two elevators lack charm, are cheaply furnished and resemble airport motels. Rooms in lower floors are much nicer having retained the charm of an old stately building.

A fabulous hotel

A little more expensive than some Dublin hotels, but so worth it! It's not a long walk from Connelly train station, but because my partner has mobility issues, we took a taxi (€9) The hotel is in the middle of the city, close to many shops, bars and restaurants. Beside it, there are two "Hop on/off" bus companies - our favourite way of viewing anywhere we go. Check-in was simple- I had already given our details via their website. Our twin bedroom was great- very spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was an air-conditioning system, which we gladly used.The bathroom, again, was very spacious - the shower really good. [Not the hotel's fault.. we had asked for a room close to the lift, which we did, but some of the clients 'forgot' others may be asleep when they were going to their rooms late at night]. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous! So much choice, everything so tasty! The dining room staff were great. Would we go again? Definitely!!
