The James Joyce Ulysses artwork was superb. I also loved the way you encouraged guests to reduce their carbon footprint. The continental smorgasbord breakfast was sumpuous too.

I booked this hotel during our stay at Dublin. i booked 2 rooms as we were travelling with friends. The hotel was lovely and location was absolutely amazing. Everything was so close by there was no need for public transport or taxis other than to and from the airport. It was just across the bridge to temple bar and so easy to walk to both the guiness factory and Jameson distillery. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Dublin. The reason for the 4 star was because both rooms that were booked did not have air conditioning that worked. We reported this to reception and they said they would get it fixed. We returned back that evening and found the air-conditioning was still not fixed. The reception staff offered to change the room but it was 12.30 at night and to much hassel to move rooms when we only had one more night to stay. In return the hotel did offer us late checkout which was handy. Were lucky the windows opened slightly so was able to leave it open to get some breeze coming in. The breakfast was ok just alot of carbs tho so might be good to get more options for brekkie. Bar staff were wonderful and the cocktails were really nice. I would definitely stay again if i was to visit Dublin

I've stayed at several Motel One's. And this was was like many. Clean, comfortable and in a great location. On the down side. Like other Motel ones. You need to really use some muscles to close your room door. Always ensure its actually shut. The one area they really need to improve is the TV. After a long day of walking its nice to relax and maybe watch a little something. The reception is horrible, with half the channels being German. The image flickers and the TV would power off randomly. Channel selection is also very limited. For the cost i would expect better.

This hotel is not fancy or luxurious, but comfortable and efficient. The decor, based in James Joyce’s literary universe, is a delight. Rooms are small but efficient and modern. The bar stays open late!

Hotel review

Although this is a relatively new hotel (around 18 months old) its very dark, black decor gave it an old and tired appearance

Good location

Practical location for experiencing Dublin. OK but not impressive breakfast. The breakfast in a tight space and got crowded fast. Ended up buying breakfast elsewhere on two of three mornings. Had trouble with lagging and freezing when we tried to watch TV. Other than that, it was all in all pretty good!

Would stay again!

Brilliant location, but quiet in the room despite proximity to LUAS and busy streets. Immaculately clean and wonderfully bright. Lovely spacious and bright lobby. Friendly helpful staff. All a very wonderful surprise, given the reasonable price and name ("motel" does not a very nice hotel justice!)

We stayed here for 4 days. The room was a bit smaller than what we're used to, but you're not going to be spending much time there. Overall the property itself was perfect for us. The location was the best feature, most major things within a 5-20 min walk, depending on what you are interested in. 5 min to O'Connell St, 10 min to Trinity, 7-8 min to Temple, and straight down the street North from the Ha'Penny bridge. The breakfast was just continental, there are likely cheaper options nearby, but it was convenient, especially for leaving early. All in all, would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel. Decor is modern and everything is immaculate. Great location with shops and cafe all around and close to so many attractions. The gentleman who checked me in seemed incredibly snobby. I asked about balcony rooms as the photos made it look as though there may be some; he basically scoffed and said they didn’t have them. Tried to ask about the bar, etc and it was clear he was uninterested. Lady who checked me out was great though. Breakfast is very lackluster. For the price, I expected more protein options. But bonus for cranberry juice.

Ignore the bad reviews from this property they do not make any sense. They are either people who have never travelled or have insanely high standards. Sure there’s carpet and maybe it’s dusty, but like who cares. Someone also said the shower was not had and had no pressure, this is false the knobs have a button you need to press to turn them to get heat and pressure. The shower was bay far in my top 5 showers of life. I stayed in it for 30mins (horribly hung over). The location is PERFECT its steps from Temple bar which is an area you want to walk to, get drunk and stumble home from. (Highly suggest Quay restaurant for dinner). The only “issues” I could see someone having is there is only soap no conditioner or cream, the garbages are small (so we just put our take out garbage in the hallway by the door and it was always gone by morning) there is no real closet, just a few hangers or hooks. But whatever we’re on vacation! This is, in my opinion a 4 star micro boutique hotel. When we come back I’m going to absolutely stay here.
