Lovely hotel but Management treated us very poorly

There was a competition in the hotel, a spin the wheel for Pieta House, we won breakfast for the room and when we went down for it the following morning they said it was for 1 person and not for the room. We clarified when we won that it covered the room and not one person. We had 2 rooms booked and the other room also played and won and same issue. They argued with us in front of other staff, they tried to look into the Pieta bucket to check how much was donated and then when we told them to leave it and give us a complaint form they eventually said we could all have breakfast. We obviously didn’t bother as we were mortified at that point . Also did not agree that the hotel staff be able to check a donation bucket for a charity .. it was on the reception counter and you had to put the money in before you could spin the wheel so we were made to feel like they didn’t believe us . Awful, awful experience

Good place to stay if you don’t like hot shower!

No water for 10 hours and no hot water from 7:00pm till check out the next day at 10:00pm. No remedy or compensation offered other than front desk saying ‘Sorry, we are working on it’ Totally unacceptable for a ‘4 stars’ hotel.

We’re a family of 4. We all loved this hotel! It is so beautiful, modern, and fun! We loved the morning breakfast which had a ton of options. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were spotless, and it had a great location. We would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely staff, the room was very unique and fun. I spent my anniversary there and the staff were kind enough to leave us a little surprise before we checked in. It says on Expedia that there is free parking but there wasn’t any which was very misleading

Clean and quiet. Staff very helpful Allocated accessible room as quiet. Huge wet room with excellent toiletries. Room spacious. Safe and fridge in room. Safe not fixed to surroundings but now reported to management for addressing. Decor very modern Interesting but some might find it dark.

Hot and Stuffy - check to make sure AC/fan works

The AC in our room did not work. We complained after the first night (our room was 25.5 degrees C) and called downstairs several times. They said they would fix it on their end and reset it. The next day we went by the front desk - they assured us it would be better. We kept bathroom door shut and all lights even off as much as possible. Another several calls and at 1am they finally offered to switch us to another room and give us a complimentary breakfast. This was useless since we were getting up early the next morning to catch a flight - and not sure if they could not override the timer why they didn’t offer this earlier when we called several times. The fan mode was not even working/blowing anything - just hot and stuffy with 3 people in the very small room. We were hoping we would have slept comfortably in the king beds for our last 2 nights of our trip - but it was impossible to sleep because of how hot it was and could not even open a window. Note: other family members were in another room on a different floor and they were not having this issue. So it leads me to believe that timer or no timer on the AC - ours was simply not working and we were continuously brushed off and no one would ever come to our room to see what were were talking about.

Great stay. Room was lovely, but too warm and the air con wouldn’t stay on and you are unable to open the windows. Other than that, we ate in the restaurant and it was super tasty. Superb location too.

Great stay at the NYX Portobello, only slight gripe is that on arrival we were allocated an accessible room, which was also a conjoined room, this was despite us booking a superior room. That said we asked about this following morning and we were offered a change which we accepted! Breakfast good choice and good value. Would recommend
