. The ice machine was outside of the building directly against the side of the wall where the headboard of the bed was. It made a loud whirring sound making it impossible to sleep. The management is on site for a few hours a day and they don't respond to messages. When I happened to find someone the morning of our second day,the manager was aware of the problem, but said it would stop after cycling through. It did not.I have a feeling that the guest's comfort is not a priority at this lodge. There were some other smaller issues as well, but the ice machine and the subsequent dismissal of our concern by management was the biggest.
The room was very nice. Love the atmosphere of accommodations. Unfortunately, there were a few issues. There was no AC, so we are okay with opening the windows, but one window wouldn't stay open and the only other window was facing the main road through town, so you heard traffic all night long. The other issue was that the toilet had to be fixed from running all the time. We were finally able to make it stop running.
We stayed in one of the cabins. It was old but charming, cute and clean. The property is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. We would definitely recommend it if youâre looking for a rustic place to stay.
We were in Cabin 20. Itâs cramped with two queen sized beds. 4 people would be miserable. A great fan and itâs good because no AC and it was hot. Bathroom is exceedingly tiny and floor slopes and thereâs nothing to grab onto when exiting shower. Historic cabin which is cool but itâs not exactly comfortable
Cabin 25 was a pleasant experience. Chair was a bit uncomfortable to sit in and the grab bar in the bathroom was inconveniently placed. Otherwise a good stay.
We had to move up our reservation by a day at the very last minute. They answered their phones after hours and moved us up without any issues. Saved the day completely!
The lodge was a fun experience for the family. The room needed some minor repairs but nothing too crazy. The fire pit area was fun, but the grass definitely needed cut. We met lots of great people and everything was in walking distance.
Easy check-in. The lobby had a cool old Western feelâreally welcoming. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Everything worked great.
Loved the vibe and would definitely stay again!
Mattresses broken, sheets torn (mine had a slice/hole in it) and old. There were no blankets on the beds, and I had to ask for them.
There was no regular coffee packets in the lobby (only decaf).
There is no AC, and the porch lights donât work (leaving it scary dark outside your door).
No broom to sweep floors and no housekeeping offered for multiple night stays.
Very rustic and cute, but has seen better days and needs new blinds (theyâre broken), a deep clean (dirty and dusty) and a refresh.
Desk hours very limited and itâs difficult to get help (I had no phone number to reach anyone, kind of have to take care of yourself).
