room did not have things in it that were listed on the site no hair dryer no whirlpool no phone in room we were told the phone was broke and there was never a whirlpool also was told there would be scramble eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy there was not the 3 nights we were there they told us the warmer was broke these thing were things why we picked this place to stay what a disappointment not sure we will pick it again

Hotel needs a remodel(OLD).Door looked like someone tried to pry it open. Room was not very clean, there were cobwebs in all four corners of the room and in the bath room. I was very disappointed with the stay over all.

Overall teh stay was a good experience. The reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is the breakfast was disappointing. No protein options at all. Had waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy which were both good as well as cold cereal and breads. No eggs, meat yogurt or fruit was available on either day of our 2 day stay.

The first room given was not clean...the beds were not made, the tv was disconnected, the room smelled, etc. The upgrade to the suite was ok...but, the toliet seat was broke...I told the front desk but, didn't got fixed. We were chastised for using the waffle maker incorrectly.

Normally, we don’t stay in a hotel with less than a 4.0 guest rating, but, due to a nearby music festival, our choices were limited. Yes, there were stains on the carpet, chair, and ironing board, and the property was dated. The beds in our room were also a bit concave. It is a budget hotel. But the bedding and bathroom were clean. No dust in the room. Floors were vacuumed. I felt comfortable and safe sleeping there. And Kim is as charming and friendly as the other reviewers say. She deserves 5 stars.

Checking in was okay, but thing went downhill from there. After checking in we noticed that the side door to the building had key card access, but it was broken so it provided no security at all. Additionally, the security chain/lever for the door in our room was broken off. We slept with a chair against the door. Unfortunately, this did not keep all visitors away as we woke up in the early morning and felt something crawl across our faces, but thought it was just a fly. We found a roach crawling across the bed and killed it. We were booked for 5 days so we went to the front desk told them we were checking out and asked for a refund for the rest of our stay. They said that since we had booked through a third party we would have to go through them. Expedia contacted the motel twice trying to get a refund from the motel and were not successful. We did book it knowing that there was no refund for cancellation, but we cancelled the rest of our stay because the motel was not clean and safe and because of that we should have gotten a refund. I would not recommend staying at this Baymont Inn and I personally will never stay at another Baymont.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of fresh options to start the day right. The pool area was clean, relaxing, and perfect for unwinding. Our room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations – highly recommended!

Run down & outdated

Hotel was dirty and falling apart. Our room was on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. Front desk staff didn't bother to let us know in advance and as a family of 5 we had a lot of baggage. Ice maker was broken. The carpet in our room was covered with stains and I found a toenail. The bed was okay, but the pillows were very lumpy. Shower was hot but not much pressure. Breakfast was very underwhelming. Hallways smelled like they were fabreezed to cover something. We would not stay here again.

Did not like anything at all about this hotel. Will never stay at this chain again. They apparently have extremely low standards for their hotels. This place was disgusting in every way, and so was there Manager, who would not take responsibility for anything that was wrong!

It was definitely dirty. I wouldn't stay here again. I was also charged for my room when i booked, then they charged me again when I checked in. The woman that checked me in was rude, inattentive, and bad at her job. The woman i spoke with in the morning was very polite and helpful. You get what you pay for. This was a last minute stay for us since we were in town for a wedding. If you have options, stay elsewhere.

When I mentioned the issue to the manager about the room smelling weird and the pillow smelling like smoke the only answer she could give me was that the pillows were just washed and the room had been recently painted.

We arrived at 2 to see if we could check in an hour early. There were 2 cars in the entire parking lot and the manager refused to allow. There had to be A single clean room an hour before check in with hardly anyone staying in the hotel. She didn't offer a reason and was crabby at being asked. I asked if she could tell me where our room would be and she said that she couldn't tell us that until 3:00. At breakfast the next morning, my kids were by the bread canister and she came over and slammed it shut telling them that it needs to start shut so flies didn't get in. We had to get our room transferred to another because the AC didn't work. This too was met with hostility and a bad overall attitude that seems to be just par for the course at this hotel. I have stayed at other baymonts and have never had issues like this. Would not stay in dubuque again and should have been refunded partially since we were in a room with no air for 2-3 hours on an extremely hot day. These things should be checked into prior to check in. Room 224 probably still has issues because I'm sure the manager doesn't care. Hire someone that likes people.

This was an overly priced hotel and I would not recommend for groups. The rooms & amenities were dated. There was no place for our group to gather. It seemed like this hotel is more utilized for long-term stays or residences. The facility is in disrepair- large, unsafe holes and cracks in the parking lot, torn carpet and broken tiles indoors, room doors don't latch all the way, exit doors don't latch. Would not recommend.

Property was poorly kept. Definitely an aged property. Room smelled of smoke. Parking lot had a sinkhole abd concrete was extremely uneven. My daughter tripped over a piece when we were leaving and luckily i caught her.
