Hotel is a "Classic" hotel in the central area of Dunedin but is dated. Heater is a wall heater without a thermostat. Staff are friendly and deserve a commendation. There is a small casino attached to the hotel. Restaurant is good. Classic experience but could use more modern comforts.

Parking on site comes at a cost of $25/night. Inconvenient to be looking for a parking meter close by. Average room, carpet near bathroom access was totally wet through and this caused a slip hazard and uncomfortable without shoes on. Shower pours through the shower screen and copious amounts of water flood the bathroom. Thankfully plenty of towels are given in order to mop up the water, but does not reflect their sustainable ethos.

We really enjoyed our stay at scenic hotel Dunedin. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again!
