This house was spacious and perfect for getting our family together. We couldnât have been happier with our choice. Take advantage of the huge porch in the front and multiple huge rooms. Immediate responses from the hosts if needed. We will be back.
The Captains Quarters was our home base for our recent family trip to Lily Dale Assembly. The house provided plenty of room for our party if eight and our little dog too. Our adult kids enjoyed playing pool and chatting around the fire pit. We shared meals on the spacious deck and had our coffee on the huge front porch. The beds were comfortable and our host Lauren thought of everything, even the ingredients for s'mores. We would definitely stay again.
Needed a place for family to gather and saw this property. Great old house. Were able to host family and friends after our moms interment. Highly recommend anyone looking for a great place to stay.
We loved this house. My sister enjoyed cooking and baking a birthday cake in the amazingly accommodating kitchen. She is still raving about the stove st up and how easy it was to cook on. The pool table and game room were prefect for the adults and children. When we stay again we hope to have time to enjoy the fire pit!!
We enjoyed our stay . The beds were comfortable. A plus is that there is coffee and a smores starter pack with firewood for the fire pit.Plenty of parking in the back yard. House was clean plenty of dishes and cups , could use some more pots and pans but we made do very well from what was there. Three bathrooms and plenty of beds. Communication was very good. The Dunkirk Pier is down the street. Not far to stores. We will return đ
This historic house is quite spacious, with ample parking, which is great for family gatherings such as ours. In many ways it is well equipped, but the major drawback is no dishwasher. The exterior needs some TLC, but the beds were comfy and the air conditioners in each bedroom worked well. Overall it is a good value and an interesting property. We did not experience any noise issues though it does directly face a hospital.
Gorgeous, huge house. Host thought of everything! Extra coffee, s'mores, toiletries including soap, shampoo, body wash in each shower, etc. Huge porch, great back deck, huge fire pit. Can't go wrong here.
Outside of home needs a bit of work and does not do the property justice. Very nice inside. Conveniences included. Easy to check in and communicate with owner. We recommend this property.
This home was the perfect spot to share with my family and brotherâs family. Itâs a gorgeous home full of charm and the host provided thoughtful amenities that added to the experience. The host was very responsive and friendly. I would love to stay again!
Easy access to Dunkirk and Fredonia State.
Liked all the parking space! Very Clean. Wish they would have said in their description that one of the bath rooms was in the bedroom with the king bed. Access was only through that bedroom. However, on the plus side there was a half bathroom downstrairs. We enjoyed our stay.
We were attending Fredonia College Reunion and this house was perfect! Extremely clean, well stocked with towels, linens, blankets. Kitchen amazingly supplied with enough to feed army and nice extra touches coffee, tea, smores supplies... Lovely cozy fireplace, and house warm. Plenty beds for a bunch of people! 2 main bedrooms for couples for privacy, 1 room with 2 queens, and 2 twins downstairs for extra people! Firepit and Porches outside great!! Host was immediately available thru VRBO messaging. All needs addressed!! Lovely, lovely home. A family or friends group visiting area or bringing kids to school would be happy here!! Campus close!! Thanks again L for beautiful property and welcoming hospitality.
Loved the property. Very nice, very spacious, and clean. Eight of us stayed comfortably for the weekend. Host was great and property stocked with all the essentials and more. Would definitely stay again if ever in need.
My sister and I find a week each year to get together. We chose Captainâs Quarters and found the locale perfect for day tripping. Itâs a town with interesting history, the house is clean and very well stocked for any size group. Definitely on the list if we want a return trip to Lake Erie.
The house was big and had enough beds, sleeping space for our family. The fireplace kept us cozy and warm during the winter storm. Extra heaters helped keep other spaces warm. It is an old house so with the winds it was very drafty. Staff was great and kept checking in with us. I would recommend this house for anyone looking to stay in the area.
