I loved my recent stay at Lemon Lake Lodge. I stayed with friends in the Barn. It was the perfect setting for a ladies' reconnection weekend, and I immediately felt so at home (literally, I felt like I lived there, and it thus seemed very wrong to have to leave a few days later!). The interior was perfect—everything was comfortable and aesthetically pleasing (the owners obviously have great taste), from the furnishings to the kitchen appliances to tableware. The common area invited thoughtful reflection, soulful conversation, reading, napping. The second floor consisted of a big spacious open room with a queen bed and two cute singles (plus, more bedding available for additional guests, and a bathroom). The view from the second floor window was beautiful--what a way to wake up! In the outskirts of Durango, the property is remote and feels incredibly serene. We saw wild turkeys roaming about, as well as what I think was a badger. Downtown Durango and the amazing Durango Hot Springs is just a (gorgeous) 30 minute or so drive away. It was a dreamy and rejuvenating stay. Can't wait to go back one day!
