The property was ok you get what it says on the Tin
Stay was fine people were friendly and someone go to sleep with parking. Lovely location to go for walks had a good stay.
It was lovely. We were well looked after. The staff and locals were friendly. The Stables were a row of Butlinâs style chalets. It was perfectly set up for self catering with a fridge, toaster and microwave.
This was a one night stay on our way to Edinburgh with our dogs. It was exactly what we needed a comfortable, clean and well equipped room right next to a lovely pub that is also dog friendly. Sonia and the team couldn't do enough for us, fetching water for our dogs after a long journey. Asking if we had everything we needed. We had a good meal that night and a lovely breakfast the following morning. Such a friendly place, we will definitely be back!
very friendly, nice accomodation, sadly the TV wouldn't work and despite the owners efforts, he couldn't get it to work either.
Good being next to the pub for meals and breakfast, didn't get chance to try them but will next time.
This is a lovely little place with a great pub with really friendly staff and great food. Excellent dog walk on the other side of the road. The room has a fridge microwave kettle and toaster. The owner was a bit stressed about the shower having failed but they had called a plumber and all was fixed with no problems and lots of apologies. Would recommend!!
It is an honest 2 to 3 star accommodation which is reflected in the price. If you want better then you will have to pay a lot more but i was more than happy with the room and the service and yes i would go back
Stayed for 1 night in the stables as a single female. The accommodation is an add on to the pub Royal Oak next door. The room was clean and a good size, what was really impressive was the facilities- a microwave with plates/cutlery, toaster, washing up equipment, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and a fridge.
There was a childâs play area across the road. Horses in the next field lovely area.
Went to the pub for tea. Staff gave a warm welcoming, food was lovely and very reasonably priced.
I had booked a room only but given the lovely evening meal decided I would have breakfast before checking out, again a lovely breakfast with a good selection of options.
Would happily stay again if Iâm in the area.
I stayed for one night with my three dogs prior to judging at a local dog show. Overall it is a nice property but the listing is misleading. It states there is a garden, there isnât. Parking is very limited on the street, and quite tight. It also doesnât make it clear there are three properties in a row, it implies there is just one.
Listing doesnât mention the properties are adjacent to a pub, and are owned by the pub. The day I was travelling I was telephoned to ask if I would move into the pub to stay instead, which I declined due to having the dogs and they werenât happy about that. I was then chased two days after my stay for payment, when I booked and paid via Hotels.com. Not really acceptable.
The accommodation was fine and comfortable. No frills and a good level of equipment. Bed was comfortable and shower room was clean. Had a tv kettle and the room was a good size.
Could do with a little more comfort in its decoration but did the job.
Surrounding were a little untidy but we stayed during high winds so suffered a lot of noise with loose building parts.
Walls between accommodation are a little thin so not much soundproofing.
All in all it was ok. Only drawback was it said free breakfast. When we stayed the breakfast was not available. Dont know why but.
