Home Base for first visit to Maine

This was my husband and I’s first trip to Maine and we were here to explore the area. This little house in East Boothbay was the perfect Home Base as well as being a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the Maine waterfront scenery. This home is very small but the perfect size for us and our trip. Everything is well situated, my favorite area in the house was the upstairs, which was quite roomy and had windows facing the water that we kept open all the time for the breeze. This was a very nice wooded neighborhood as well so very peaceful. We made good use of the deck and chairs as well as the shared dock. The kitchen is tiny but well laid out. We did not cook so cannot speak to that but I think this would be comfortable for one person cooking. We had a great experience in Maine and especially love this area, we will definitely be back.

Perfect Getaway

We planned a long weekend for our babymoon and this beautiful home did not disappoint. It was quiet and peaceful and just a short drive to Boothbay Harbor. Waking up to the lobster boats and crisp, fresh air was just what the doctor ordered. Would love to come back every year!

Cute cottage with a beautiful & peaceful view!

The view is incredible from this cottage... from waking up and looking right out to the water or relaxing throughout the day. Perfect couples getaway for us. The house will need some TLC for a couple of minor things such as the disconnected wiring of the light on the screened-in porch and the bed springs which are very loud with the slightest of movement. However, it doesn't take away from the peaceful R&R this little gem provides.

Private getaway with great views

We enjoyed our time at the cottage which was clean, cozy and perfect for two people and our small dog. Views of the bay and the sunsets were gorgeous. Some property upgrades would be nice like fixing up the worn dock and oiling it. The squeaking from the dock and even more the neighboring dock was almost constant and disturbed the peaceful idyllic setting. Overall, a great place to spend a few days and enjoy the coast of Maine.

Nice house & location

Nice little house, perfect for a couple, with water views located at a very private location. Wooden interior and wooden floors giving warm feeling inside. A house is clean and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is equipped with basic supplies but no dishwasher.

Dock was wonderful

If the dock had a ladder so we could swim off of it , it would have been absolutely perfect. Great views, lovely place, to stay, very clean and comfortable

Place was nice with some limitations that need to be fixed

The location of rental is great nice and close to tourist areas but tucked away for our own privacy. We were unaware the dock was a shared dock on property which changed our plans multiple times. The oven is broken so we had to make many changes in our meal planning with limitations of beginning of season hours at many restaurants. The shower was TERRIBLE, we took cold showers the whole time with maybe 1 minute of warm water. The worst part was the door does not actually lock despite having a key and turn knob so we had to risk our valuables. Luckily my husband and I are easy going so we just sucked it up and enjoyed the area.

Peaceful getaway.

We were looking for something off the beaten path to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary and this property did not disappoint us. The bay waters are crystal clear and we had multiple daily harbor seal visits, viewable from our deck. What a special treat. I rated the property general condition as average for the following reasons: oven pilot light was out, the shower head should be replaced, could not find oven mitts, door locking instructions would be beneficial, and since there is no AC a ceiling fan in the bedroom might be nice. All easy fixes. We will definitely come back. Finally, TurnKey was very responsive to text so don’t hesitate to contact them.

Anniversary week!

My husband and I spent a week at the property for our one year wedding anniversary. The property is exactly as it appears in the listing. The view is to die for and it is conveniently located close to Boothbay Harbor. The only thing that needs a little revamping is the shower head, shower itself, and hot water heater. We would definitely rent this house again!

Great place! Loved it!

My husband and I rented this property for a weekend with our dogs. It was absolutely perfect! For two people, you don’t need anything bigger and the view is absolutely spectacular! The place is spotless, very cozy and super chic. It’s located on an incredibly quiet and serene road . We will absolutely stay here again- highly Recommend it.

Great getaway, a couple of comments.

Interior was exactly as pictured, and spotless! Perfect size for two! Nice views of the bay. Great basic supplies to get you started on your stay. A couple of issues upon arrival but property mgmt was diligent in resolving them to our satisfaction. Nothing that would affect future guests. Extremely happy with their efforts and customer service was excellent. Beautiful, mostly peaceful spot on the bay, we were on the dock every day, saw ospreys, minky seals and bald eagles from the property. Enjoyed the lobster boats out in the bay checking their traps daily and had fun fishing off the dock. Pretty easy 15-20 min ride to downtown BBH for meals, boat excursions, shopping, galleries and fresh seafood. The surrounding properties are much closer to this property than the photos show, not as private as expected.. The bench that is shown in the pictures for this rental is in front of the property next-door. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
