hotel idealement situe.
I stayed at the Mowbray to see the Sussex Coast and Kent. The hotel proved to be a great choice. My room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I had an easy walk to Eastbourneâs board walk, great local places to eat and a nice building btw.
Not much space in the room or bathroom. Window was difficult to move. Worst part was bathroom. Mildew stains on ceiling and felt dirty. It really needs major updating. Glad we only had a 2 night stay. Would definitely not return.
Roy, I presume the owner, is so rude itâs almost comical. I booked a suite for my son and I, and requested single beds placed as far apart as possible. On arrival, they were 4 inches apart, so we moved one of them to the other side of the room. It was on wheels so took a few seconds. The exposed carpet was filthy so we left the bed where it was in the morning to allow them to give it a rare vacuuming. Roy actually phoned me after weâd left to remonstrate..he was almost apoplectic that we had dared to move a bed!
Iâd like to know what award the âaward winning breakfastâ has won? Maybe the most anaemic and unappealing sausage? Or perhaps an award for cramming the most tables in to a tiny basement breakfast room? To be fair Iâve had worst breakfasts but also many far better
The hotel is tired and dated but the owner is incredible..Iâm still feeling a bit stunned by his tirade
I think they have made a great job of providing comfortable conditions for the clients of Mowbury court hotel.....Really good breakfast with a variety of cereal ..pastries ..cooked breakfast and extras...warm friendly staff making sure your stay is home to home
Itâs very old fashion hotel, which I have prepared for that. The condition of the property is worst than I expect. The size of room is just like London. You probably could find something better if you book advance somewhere else in Eastbourne.
Great b&b option in Eastbourne. Roy was absolutely fantastic with the communication and the room was perfect for a weekend stay.
Close to the seafront and very quiet.
The location was great but that is the only good thing about The Mowbray.
As soon as we entered the lobby there was a damp smell.
No one to greet you or help with your bags etc.
The bed was horrible, it was uncomfortable and the two mattresses that made up a double, constantly came apart with a sheet that didnât fit properly. The duvet came out of the cover too.
The room and bedding smelt of damp and the shower was dirty and mouldy.
Glad we only stopped for the one night.
We didnât have breakfast, so canât comment on that.
If you find it difficult mobility wise, there are big steps up to the property and although there is a lift to the rooms, Iâm not sure it went down to where the breakfast was being served and there were lots of steps down to it.
I would not recommend The Mowbray and for the money I would have expected a lot more.
Ideally located for eating out and sea front strolls.
Basic hotel , easy parking, good breakfast however the housekeeping in the rooms could be improved especially in the bathrooms, toilet brush disgraceful !! . Blinds also thick in dust and tv unwatchable as signal kept going.
A lovely two night stay. In a great location, close to restaurants, pier and beach. Parking is great too. Breakfast is lovely as are the staff. Arrival instructions are very
clear. Room was compact, although fine for us.
