I read a lot of reviews about this property prior to booking so I was excited, thinking it was going to be a nicer room. It is a motel, which I understood, but the rooms were not what I was expecting for the money. I have stayed at the Lismore for less money and a much nicer room. The bed was not very comfortable, we only had about 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper so we had to go ask for more. The shower did not have anything in there to put my personal items on - not a huge deal, but just not as nice as I was expecting. I will say that the staff are all amazing and helpful and the grounds/dining and outdoor area are all very beautiful. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere downtown. I would definitely go back to hang on the patio but would not spend the money to stay again.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was rude, and they charge you an extra $60 fee when you check in. I asked what for and they said to cover the cost of the record player in our room, that we didn’t use. The floors were dirty, and so was the shower. The heater was so loud and kept turning to cold air. The live music was cool at the attached restaurant, but was so loud and kept us up until really late. Also very limited parking.

We stayed at The Oxbow and has a really great time! The hotel was very nice, and it was fun to be able to grab a drink (very reasonably priced) in the bar after seeing a show at the Pablo Center. We are looking forward to coming back!

Cool older building in a good location, however..

The hotel was fine, there was only one main reason for my rating, and it was the bathroom door. For some reason unknown to me, hotels like to put barn doors on bathrooms now, but this one in particular was really bad. Not only did it roll open 6” on its own and not say closed (no way to lock it either), but there was. 2” gap around the door to the wall anyway. So not good for sights and worse for sounds…so if you’re staying here be prepared to be very comfortable with the person you’re staying with.

I'd stay here again for sure.

Just a cool place. From the record library to the bar. Walking distance of almost everything. My only complaint which is not huge. Is it can be a tad loud at night.
