We've been to Edinburgh before, staying in hotels in Old Town and New Town. Having already done the tourist thing, we wanted to see what it felt like to live there. This apartment was just right. Close to a grocery, drug store, pubs, bakeries, etc., and still very walkable to George, Queen, and Princes Streets and beyond. And despite begin so close to the action, it was blessedly quiet.
What a perfect property for my family of four to rent while we were in Edinburgh. It is away from the crush of tourists but just one stop away on the trolly from the center of town. The place was clean, well appointed and beautiful. I'd highly recommend this to anyone needing a place in Edinburgh.
Apartment is in the perfect location within walking distance or a short ride to anywhere you need to go. We were in town visiting the Royal Highland Show and took the tram which was just down the block. Apartment was clean, looks just like the pictures providing plenty of room for four of us.
Was it fabulous place to stay! We will plan on staying there again. It was centrally located And the stairs going down, were no problem. Thank you so much for making our holiday so comfortable.
Perfect flat for one or two couples or family - well located, bright, clean, cheery. Easy access and so hassle free. Would definitely stay here again!!!
Great space that allowed us to cook and relax at the end of the night. Very centralized location where it was easy to walk, catch the tram or a taxi. Check in was very simple and we got details from the property manager, Karen, the day prior. Thank you for a fantastic stay!
This apartment was located within a 25 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle, Scotland museum, and Grassmarket. Tram and buses a block away. Plenty of restaurants in neighborhood. The apartment was very comfortable for 4 adults and kitchen well stocked. Would recommend highly!
This property is an absolute gem, thoroughly recommended. My mum and cousins (60s and 80s) felt immediately at home, everything was just spot on - can't say enough +ves honestly.
The Sun trap garden patio was an unexpected surprise -- beautiful. You get what you pay for - this apartment is well well worth the money. As for its location, faultless - 3 mins to trams!! Thanks for a fab stay
We had a very nice stay. (4 adults) It was convenient to all the things you want to visit. Pubs and coffee shops close by as well as a Sainsbury which we used when we wanted to prepare our own food.
You may need to purchase more toilet paper and paper towels for your stay as there was only a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. You can get those close by at store.
We were there a week and it was nice to have a washing machine as we pack very light.
We would recommend this flat.
The apartment is on a quiet side street but still close to tram, bus, and train for easy access to anywhere we wanted to go. There are good restaurants a short walk away, and a Sainsbury's just around the corner.
The beds are cozy and warm. The seating is comfortable. All furnishings are provided with comfort and relaxation in mind. We had an easy time prepping simple grab-and-go meals in the spacious kitchen. The property manager responded quickly whenever we had questions.
The back garden is a nice bonus. We enjoyed sitting outside and drinking a cup of tea when the weather allowed. Overall, we had a lovely and very comfortable stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back.
We liked staying here - the location was great - just steps away from the main thoroughfare but in a quiet little garden level flat away from the crowds. It was clean and the two queen beds were firm and fine. There were some mold spots in the showers that need to be scraped off but otherwise it was clean and very nice for our family of four. Even though the patio is advertised, we did not have access to it. When we asked about it we were told that it was a private patio. Iâm not sure why itâs included in the listing if guests are not allowed to access it but just be ware. If you were looking forward to that like we were, itâs a bit of a bummer. The local (within a few minutes walk) restaurants were delicious. Haymarket station was super close. Boots & Sainsbury are two minutes walk away. We walked everywhere - Dean Village, Circus Lane, the castle, monuments, Haymarket, Grassmarket, all over the place and felt like we werenât too far from the flat. We would stay here again for sure.
Lack of information related to use of certain utilities, such as the bathroom exhaust fan. Bathroom could have been cleaner. The glass shower door had mold/filth on the bottom and the corners had what appeared to be mold/dirt. Further, two lights were out and needed replacement in the bathroom. The owner also left frozen food in the small freezer leaving no room at all for any frozen food which we wanted to store. Further, given the lower-level apartment, there is little air circulation. Clothes did not drive very well since there was no dryer, only a washing machine. Overall, we were disappointed with the facility given the description stated an "elegant" apartment. Descriptive was not clear that it was a lower-level apartment. I would not call the apartment elegant.
We stayed at this property for three weeks during the Fringe. The property is in a lovely location in the West End with ease of mass transportation--buses and tram. Even with the overwhelming numbers of tourists, like ourselves, we found it convenient to get anywhere we needed to.When we arrived, the freezer had been left ajar and wouldn't close for the ice buildup. I contacted the manager who responded quickly, as did the owner who lived upstairs. Once we figured out how to shut off the refrigerator unit, the defrosting began. Over the next 24 hours, I repeatedly picked up soaking wet towels and put them in the sink. I dislodged ice blocks to avoid ruining the lovely wooden floors. It was no one's fault, but it did make arrival less comfortable than typical. I asked for some kind of remuneration for the trouble. I had to ask repeatedly and even follow up with the management company itself since 18 days there had still been no refund. When it came, it was small considering the price of the accommodation. I was disappointed. The apartment was quite comfortable, save for softer beds than we like and flaking teflon fry pans that wouldn't release food or clean thoroughly. The heater worked well which is always nice in Edinburgh on cold rainy days--which fortunately we had few of. The shower was fabulous and bath towels large. The television offered many on-demand services which are always appreciated.
