Host is a great communicator, house was clean, beautiful and fully stocked. The twin bed porch swing was my favorite spot in the house. This house was a step above most rentals because there was so much entertainment for the children & teens.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was the most equipped of any rental I have ever stayed in. The scenery amd wildlife was beautiful, we even saw an eagle! Communication with the owner was top notch. Wr will definitely return!
My family and I enjoyed staying at Marshpad. Great location for my grandsons to fish at the community dock. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the porch. There was always a nice breeze and we were surprised that there was not an issue with mosquitos. We will be returning.
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Marshpad! Perfect space for our big family!! As long as you donât mind a short drive to the beach, this place is great for large groups.
We couldnât be happier with our time at Dannyâs place. The space worked well for our crew. The views, the kayaking, the open floor plan. We loved it.Be sure to be aware of the fact that you do have to drive to the beach.
What a delight to pull into such a lovely property. So much room, and beautifully decorated. The Hammocks is a true gem on Edisto Island and Marshpad is a crowning jewel.
We loved staying here! There was always plenty to do, including hiking, kayaking, and biking.
The house had everything we needed to make it a great trip. The beach at the state park is about a ten minute drive. You wonât regret staying here. Itâs beautiful with wildlife and scenery galore. The host is very responsive too.
Danny the owner was great to work with. Very communicative. My wife and son and I were Hurricane Helen evacuees from Augusta, GA and he got us in quick with no hassle and was very sympathetic to our situation. House was great and had access to a boat ramp to launch the kayaks but we never did because there is also great crabbing and fishing within the gated community.
Going to the beach is a breeze too thanks to the two state park passes that come with the rental. Using the public beach access stations along the main drag can be a hassle sometimes due to the lack of parking or crowded beach space. Not at the State Park. We parked our buts right on the edge near Coots and hung out all day with plenty of room to lay out, fish, drink beer and go to Coots to eat.
For us The Marshpad was the perfect location with the perfect amenities and perfect owner. We will be back.
Thanks again Danny!
P.S. Danny, we still don't have phones or internet at the office or house so I'm at my buddies office next door that does have internet so I apologize for the late review.
Communication with this owner was amazing and clear with quick responses. Upon arriving at the house the house was clean and well appointed with all the things you could possibly need for vacation. Everything from pots and pans to kayaks. This in itself made our arrival much less stressful. The house is perfectly situated only Minutes from the beach but in its gated community feels like itâs miles from civilization (in a good way). On my morning walks through the Sandy roads I would barely see another human yet it was only a 5 to 7 minute drive to the beach at the State Park. The neighborhood was also great for bike rides and walking the dogs. This was quite wonderful as our stay was the week of July 4 So we could experience the excitement of the beach and retreat to the peace and quiet of the environment around the home.
We had a wonderful week here. The drive in is so beautiful and peaceful, we were so happy how intact the natural surroundings were. The house itself exceeded the photographs. It is spacious and bright and had all that two families needed to make memorable meals and memories. Bird watching on the pond from the porch was heavenly. We made use of each of the two nearby docks for kayaks and the paddleboards that we brought down. Only a 10 minute paddle out to the ocean beach (make sure to check tides and winds before embarking). Adults and kids were all happy and would joyfully return.
