The staff was very welcoming, friendly, full of smiles and polite. In my experience that preceds everything in the hospitality industry, it's not just the rooms or amenities that make a stay enjoyable. Don't get me wrong Matrix hotel has it all. The room was clean and very comfortable, with elegant decor. They went over and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the downtown area.

The room was very noisy. There was a loud sound coming from the bathroom area that sounded like a train. This happened intermittently throughout the day and night and was so loud it would wake us up. The room also seemed dated, which was not a huge deal. But the noise was awful.
