This is the cutest little place! The owner was great and their store next door had local grown meat from their farm. It was delicious. Itâs very close to the river, so nice views down the street. We loved that the owner refurbished this place from the old laundry mat. Very well appointed.
We had a fantastic stay at this cozy house! The accommodations were excellentâclean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed to cook meals during our trip. One of our favorite things was the ice cream and coffee shop right on the cornerâsuch a nice treat to have just steps away! The location was perfect for my job assignment, making the daily commute easy and stress-free. Another huge plus was that we could bring our two dogs alongâfinding pet-friendly places like this is such a relief. They loved it as much as we did!Would definitely stay here again if we're ever back in the area!
Beautiful building that is wonderfully decorated. Host was amazing with incredible communication. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back. Just make sure you screenshot all of your info for check in since cell phone coverage is spotty in Elizabethtown.
Description doesnât do this property justice. This is an absolute gem. Well cared for with every convenience thought of. Definitely my first choice when back in the area
Great place to stay and experience a quaint, IL town
We enjoyed this tiny house during our stay. Itâs clean, dog-friendly with a fenced patio and within a 20-30 minute drive to the surrounding popular hiking and nature sight-seeing spots. The town itself is very small and youâll need to drive a little ways for restaurants and groceries. The mercantile shop directly next door is very cute and a great spot to get coffee, Ice cream and local goods. Would recommend for a family of four (like us) or smaller.
Just as adorable as the photos look. Was a great place to recoup after a long hike, wish we went in the summer when the catfish kitchen around the corner was serving!
The "tiny home" is not so tiny, very well restored, well furnished and so quiet. Excellent communication with the host, extremely responsive and friendly.. The area has a lot to offer. We certainly will come back.
We needed a place to stay near Shawnee National Forest. We were more than pleasantly surprised with this tiny home. We only bookes one night, but wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the house and neighborhood.
The house had all the necessities to make breakfast and we slept comfortably. We would definitely stay here again, only next time, we'll stay longer. The neighborhood had a corner restaurant, bar, and ice cream parlor we would have loved to check out. paelor The house had
Cute little two room house. There's an ice cream shop on the corner and a bar across the street from that.
An excellent place to start your southern Illinois trip.
We visited Gardens of the Gods and Cave in the Rock, both places we loved. The rental property was near both parks. The house was just what we wanted. It had everything we needed. There were limited restaurants but we enjoyed cooking at home and then sit by the fire pit afterwards. Would rent this place again if we find ourselves in that area.
Unique vrbo with history and top notch craftmanship. The store next door is adorable with great coffee, delicious ice cream and a wide variety of high quality goods and souvenirs.
This little house has everything one would need. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The fried catfish on the river was excellent but is closed the first part of the week. We cooked meat purchased from the little store next door one night and it was delicious. Very high quality. We were hiking some of the paths in Shawnee and enjoyed our stay. We canât wait to come back.
We met in the middle of TN, IN, and MO for a girl's weekendâvery clean, very responsive owner. It was very close to the river and had everything we needed.
Elizabethtown is a quaint river village. The tiny house was perfect for us. Would definitely stay here again. There is so much to see in this area of Southern Illinois.
We hiked the garden of the gods and needed a place to stay on the way to Tennessee and this worked perfectly. Owner responded quickly. Not many places to eat so was great to cook our own dinner. Checkout the shop next door for some delicious ice cream! Would stay there again is the need arose. Check out the cave in rock which was 11 minutes away then Took the Ohio river ferry to continue our journey which was a fun experience.
We loved our stay! The mercantile next door was so cute with great ice cream. Stephanie was so kind and quick to respond! I would come back in a heartbeat!
Our experience was great! The home was beautiful and perfectly located for peace and quiet. The host was amazing to work with. I couldn't have asked for better communication. If you stay in this house, make sure you visit the ice cream shop next door for cool stuff and the best ice cream around!
This is is the cutest most comfortable and luxurious "tiny house" ive ever seen! The hosts communicated quickly and effectively. The accommodations were better than we expected. Everything was just right.
My ONLY regret is that i didnt research times local businesses were open prior to our stop. Travel took longer than expected (we are in the process of moving and had a trailer along so we were too long for the ferry and had to go around). Be smarter than we were and plan accordingly đ
