Beautiful, secluded tiny house tucked into the Ozark hills on a working horse ranch. We were lucky to be there when a large trail ride was passing through and got to watch riders come by all day. Very helpful hosts gave us our space but were available to assist with anything if needed. Bonus: ice cream was awesome!
We stayed here just to get away for the weekend. We were blown away with how much we loved it. We were greeted by âCarlâ the cat. Our stay was very quiet but full of sights. The horses are so fun to just sit and watch. We also had all 3 guard dogs come join us for dinner one night lol. Our cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed! We are definitely going to be coming back!
Great clean place! Great location out away from people but a short drive to town. We had a nice quiet stay. Very handy they had everything we needed for cooking and any other needs. The hosts are very friendly and assured us if we needed anything to just call. We Had plenty of sights to see in the area and we plan to visit again soon!
Very clean accommodations. Very secluded location. Private, peaceful, and quiet. Very relaxing environment. We found it to be a very good central location for going out and exploring the trails.
I am 70 and did just fine going up very small steps to go to bed. 90% of my friends could not have climbed a ladder or the steps with a railing a few inches tall. This should be a warning for anyone renting this. We did fine, there were no problems except I felt the owner did not want me to bother them.
We loved the scenery. Traveling up the mountain road and all the way down to the current river. Absolutely loved the craftsmanship of the cabin. It was beautiful. Owners were accessible if needed and gave great suggestions on places to visit.
My sister's and I stayed for a weekend at the Tiny House and we loved everything about it. The host was wonderful and helpful and we felt right at home.
My friend and I stayed in the tiny house in June 2024 and I brought 1 horse with me to ride on the trails. The tiny house is super clean, it was very well made and decorated. Everything works and itâs nice to have a coffee maker there, pots and pans, kitchen utensils etc. All bedding is provided.
The horse stalls very very safe and clean. There is over 300 miles of horse trails accessible from camp. Weâll be back!!
The pry was the sleeping accommodation. We were told that there were two lofts, one with a ladder and one with stairs. Unfortunately my wife was not able to sleep in the bed because you had to crawl to reach the bed by the ceiling was so low. It was dangerous for me and I am a mobile retired person. We stayed two nights of the four we paid, couldnât stand the thought of another night.
The Tiny House we stayed in is located down a dirt road. The only issue we had at all was there is a small sign stating the name of the place, but it could be missed. If one is not used to traveling down dirt roads it might be a little intimidating. Also, a low riding car may have difficulty traveling down the road.We are used to roads like this so it really wasn't an issue. It is a very nice "Tiny House", and had everything we needed. Very relaxing, and the scenery is just beautiful in the area. I would recommend it for sure.
We spent 4 nights in the Tiny House. Lisa was a great host. The Tiny House was immaculate and had everything we needed. Cooked on the grill and sat by the camp for at night. Lisa took us on a 4 hour horse ride where we saw two different herds of wild horses, did river crossings and saw the local forests. We spent another day on the Current River from Round Spring to Two Rivers. Wundtâs Canoe picked us up at the Tiny House, took us to the put in, was waiting for us at the take out and took us back to the Tiny House. We spent another day seeing the local sights including Blue Spring, Rock Falls, Alley Spring and Mill, Round Spring, Echo State Park and the Tiny House at Old Desperado Ranch was perfectly situated to see everything. Wish we could have spent more time. Thank you for everything! We hope to come back.
I stayed at the Tiny House with my husband and our 11 year old. We had such a lovely time. The cabin is small, but all the space it utilized and it had all the amenities you could want! The screened in porch was perfect for hummingbird viewing and sun-drenched breakfasts. We made sâmores in the fire lit and sat on the deck listening to the sounds of the woods.
The property was easy to find, which is always a plus down in an area where cell service might be sketchy!
We went floating on the Current River, took a road trip to Alley Springs, Peck Conservation Area, Round Spring and Rocky Falls.
Eminence is a darling town and we had a great burger at Hoganâs grill and then grabbed ice cream at the Dairy Shack.
We will definitely be coming back to this tiny cabin in the woods!
