This property is great - if you are planning a trip to Manasota Key - look no further - book this today. The location is perfect - a convenient short walk to the Gulf or the bay. Everything you want is here - bikes, standup boards, kayaks, carts, wagons, beach chairs, and shade canopies will keep you busy outside. Inside, you will find a comfortable and well-appointed home. We had a fabulous time and are sure we will return. We had beautiful weather and spent as much time as possible relaxing on the beach. The water was warm. We found many "keeper" shells and shark teeth. We had close encounters with dolphins and manatees. We paddled to Stump Pass. The house is within a short walk of several nice restaurants with daily entertainment.

Sugar Shack has everything for a perfect Florida Vacation!

We have 2 adults and 5 kids (ages 17-8) & the Sugar Shack fit all of our needs perfectly. The layout of the house gives everyone space to spread out and relax. The kitchen and living area is perfect for family meals and hanging out. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Haveing 2 full bathrooms plus an outdoor shower was awesome foe getting clean after a day at the beach. We loved hanging out on the upper deck and utilizing the lower patio area. Hammock swings and the fire pit were so fun. One od the best thinga about this house is all of the amenities. We ises the kayaks, paddleboards & bikes almoat daily. Plus the shed is full of anything you could possibly need for the beach (& an amazing beach cart). The location was great a quick walk to the ocean or the bay! I highly recommend the Sugar Shack for any family vacation. We would 100% come back & will recommend it to family & friends!

The Gem of the Island

The Sugar Shack is the absolute best rental on the island. They think of everything you could possibly need and supply it for you. From chairs to relax in to paddle boards. We will be staying again for sure.

Exactly as described!

The Sugar Shack is a great spot for a beach getaway. The description and amenities are exactly as described. There were plenty of beach chairs and a nylon cabana for the beach as well as tons of beach towels. The home was generously stocked with necessities. Bikes, paddle boards, etc all available and easy to use. Of note- there is an icemaker in the freezer and another in the closet with washer and dryer- a great thing for beach trips! No need to buy or worry about ice. We took advantage of local restaurants and bars (all walking distance- but Stumpy’s free rides (plus tip) is available if walking is not preferred - or not a good idea after a nite out!!. Brian and Brittany sent us lots a really helpful information in advance and the check in and out process was seamless. You will not regret a stay at the Sugar Shack!

A little piece of paradise

An amazing property in a quiet and tranquil area. Short walk to the beach which is amazing! We found hundreds of sharks teeth and the water was clear! Short walk to the tiki bar and restaurants. We kayaked in the bay and saw tons of dolphins. We loved the house which had everything you could think of (besides a oool or hot tub).

Absolutely fantastic house and location! We loved being so close to the beach and walking distance to the restaurants. Plus, they had so many amenities at the house it would take me forever to list them. We will definitely try to stay here in the future. Highly recommend!!

We love the Sugar Shack!! The house has everything you’ll need. The owners were very responsive. Checking in out was a breeze! Love the location! Not too busy and just steps to the beach. My only complaint is it’s already booked next year. I would highly recommend this house for your next vacation.

Amazing!!

Our family of 6 had a fantastic stay at the Sugar Shack! Location can’t be beat - a block from the beach and a block to the bay. Very quiet street and neighborhood. So relaxing! The home had everything you could need and then some. Kayaks were awesome to have. Beach gear and shark hunting gear was available. There was a storm the day before our arrival and Brian was in touch with us ahead of time to keep us posted on status of the home. Everything worked out perfectly and we would love to stay here again in our next vacation!

Great location with unbelievable amenities.

If your looking for a location away from the tourist traps and close to a great gulf beach then this is it. Our family flew to Florida for the first time and were concerned with not having all the stuff we normally take to a beach. Well this house has everything. I mean everything. Chairs, coolers, canopies, umbrellas, wave boards, kayaks, etc. That was the outside stuff. The inside was more than equipped as well. Great communication from the owner, and plenty of local info for places to eat and stuff to do. Overall an A+. My family would love to come back again.

My family and I loved this property so much during our visit last year that we booked the property again this year and will probably make this an annual family getaway. The house is in a great location, has great sleeping options and includes tons of amenities (i.e. paddle boards/kayaks, beach equipment, bikes, etc.). Family getaway

The Sugar Shack provided us with an amazing location for easy beach access
quick walk to a quieter beach (compared to the larger and much more populated public beach area one would have to drive to), and an even shorter walk to watch the sunrise on the bay in the mornings! Our family (mom, dad, grandma, and boys, ages 11,9 and 7) had an amazing time making memories and relaxing. Thanks for a great place to do that, Sugar Shack!

Every thing you need in 1 place

If you want an experience of the beach and fishing Look no further this is the place. Everything we packed was literally already there to use. Kayaks, life jackets, beach stuff, coolers, bikes, and even an ice machine which was awesome!! It is only 6 houses from the beach or to the bay side where we took the kayaks out. We had a great time. We couldn’t have asked for anything more during our stay. We were concerned about not being beachfront. But the walk was only a couple of minutes. The home was equipped with everything you could need, the most well stocked home we had ever stayed.

Cute little house near the beach

We had a nice little stay despite the weather on Manasota in the Sugar Shack. It’s easy access from the island entrance, easy walk to both the intercoastal and ocean side. There were lots of amenities in the outdoor shed, things to do in the water (which we didn’t this time around), and lots of bikes. The bottom entry floor is a little tight but when you’re mostly just using the house for sleeping it’s ok. The main floor and living area worked out great. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Manasota!

An excellent relaxing beach vacation

Sugar Shack is ideally located within steps to either the Gulf or Lemon Bay so sun rises and sunsets are incredible. One could be swimming with manatees or kayaking with dolphins. All amenities are provided so you just need your clothes and toothbrush practically. Great restaurants within walking distance. Yoga on the beach daily. Bikes are provided too. Our family of 4 had the best time. This place is 5 stars!!!!

We had a great time! The Sugar Shack location was perfect, short walk to the ocean & a short walk to the bay. We loved the lanai and the second story deck. Perfect for our reunion

Sugar Shack was very comfortable for seven of us. We love to cook and the kitchen was well appointed for that purpose. There were plenty of comfortable sleep options for all of us. We enjoyed the deck and patio spaces for hanging out and eating meals. The location was convenient to Stump pass park and the beach with great places to enjoy bike riding, walks and beach sunsets. The space was light, bright, clean and comfortable. Brian and Brittany were easy to contact and responsive to our questions. We had a wonderful our time!

A few steps to the beach or bay!

Our family had a wonderful stay and we're hoping to come back again next year! The house is comfortable and spacious with plenty to do indoors and out. We especially enjoyed morning and evening kayaking and paddling on the bay with the dolphins and manatees! The house was so well-equipped that we really shouldn't have packed a full suitcase. All we really needed was a carryon with a swimsuit and toothbrush! Thank you for a great stay full of family memories.
