I really liked this cabin. It was very clean, cozy, the kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms had extras towels, etc. It was a peaceful area in nature. The hot tub could have been a bit hotter but overall it was a really nice stay. We would stay here again.
The cabin was exactly as it's pictured and had everything we needed for a quick getaway. The water was not right at the cabins Edge but just a short distance through a very nice walkway. Everything was neat and tidy, the drive to get there was easy and the cabin was easy to locate. We would recommend this cabin
Beautiful romantic cozy log cabin home. Very well kept up and clean. Went there to go fishing in late August, the creek is stocked once per year per the georgiawildtrout.com website, and several cabins stock it themselves as well per the same website. There's a coffee pot, and Keurig provided. Dishwasher, washer, dryer and a hot tub just cozy enough for 2. We highly recomend this cabin to rest and recharge and get away from the cell phones for a few days. The nature here is absolutely serene and peaceful. The creek is right past the porch seing and the firepit, that has seating for 8 (as of our visit).
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Bear cabin. The home was set in beautiful woodlands near a creek. There was lots of attention to details which made the stay enjoyable. Complimentary extras in the kitchen and bathrooms were provided. The hot tub was perfect for soaking each night overlooking the landscape. We went whitewater rafting, visited Blue Ridge and Mercier Orchards and then came home each night to relax. Great place to get away from it all. Highly recommend.
We came for a weekend away. My son wanted that instead of a birthday party for his birthday. We brought our own firewood for the outdoor firepit, and it turned out they already had a huge stack of wood under the back porch. It rained the whole weekend, but we had an incredible time. The cabin was relaxing, clean, comfortable, and well supplied with kitchen tools and gadgets. The Keurig didn't work, but they had a regular coffee maker. They have board games, puzzles, cozy blankets, and comfortable furniture. We did a movie night. We played games. We had a wonderful time, and my daughter said she wants to do that again when it's her birthday. My husband and I even talked about an adults weekend away, get a couple of friend couples together and just all relax together.
Beautiful, relaxing and peaceful location 14+ minutes away from the closest town. Comfortable house with plenty of privacy and we loved the plenty of extra coffee, towels, and many more extra essentials. And it was
Very clean and comfortable. â€ïž
Overall the cabin exceeded our expectations. It was plenty roomy for our family of four and we enjoyed our time at the cabin and in the surrounding area. A few things need help, the upstairs french door handle needs to be tightened up and the door needs to be tightened as well. The downstairs bathroom sink is very clogged and the house was crazy dusty. Also make sure to bring your own firewood because they just cut the wood under the porch and that aint going to burn. Overall we are happy with a few things that couldve been better. We would stay again!
We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The location was great as it was quiet, spacious property, right on the creek and only 15min from shopping/restaurants. It was very clean and in really nice condition. We would definitely stay here again.
The cabin had electrical issues everyday. The lights would flicker randomly and we lost power for several hours. Since there was no signal in the area either or wifi, it made it impossible for us to cook or utilize anything. The jacuzzi was not able to get warmer than 85 degrees and was very cold. We followed the given instructions but did not help. The fire place was not functional either. I would like a refund please.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Bear cabin! We spent the majority of our time by the fire pit next to the creek and just relaxed. My husband and I traveled with his parents and had a wonderful time showing them around northern GA, where we hope to move to soon.
The ease of getting to this cabin was unexpected and certainly appreciated - we have stayed in cabins where the access was daunting and tough and this was neither. In fact, we saw lots of wildlife (deer, turkey, etc) every time we left and came back. Even some beautiful white cattle!
The only thing not satisfactory with our stay was on arriving, the hot tub was open and full of leaves. It was also 68 degrees. We figured the cleaning crew must have left it open by accident - but it never got to a desirable hot temperature (the highest it went was 80). We called Vacasa on the third day of our 7 night stay and by night 6, it was repaired. We were thankful but sadly missed out on several nights of soaking after hiking Amicalola Falls and other places.
I would still recommend this cabin based on the location, tranquility and ease of renting. We would absolutely stay again.
