Check in was quick and easy, and reception was friendly, and fortunately for me, spoke good English. Free parking, and a tube station next door. Single room for me, very basic, but fine for Two nights. Not much in the way of entertainment around that part of Essen, however the tube station helped.

Am Empfang eine sehr nette und hilfreiche Dame. Zimmer hatte einen leichten unangenehmen Geruch. Die Fliesen im Badezimmer sehen 30 Jahre aus. Das Telefon im Zimmer war von 1990. Fazit: Ich habe mich erholt und habe das Hotel positiv verlassen.

Ich suchte ein „einfaches“ Hotel in Essen, weil ich wegen eines umfangreichen Aktivitäten-Programms für 3 Abende eigentlich nur einen Schlafplatz brauchte. Und dafür eignet sich das Böll-Hotel hervorragend: das Hotel ist in der Großstadt Essen leicht zu finden, hat kostenfreie Parkplätze, die Rezeption erledigt das Einchecken schnell und unbürokratisch, die Zimmer sind zwar schlicht, aber sauber und werden sogar während des Aufenthaltes wie in einem teuren Hotel in Ordnung gebracht und überdies erhält man, wenn man will, ein vernünftiges Frühstück. Alles in allem ist das Hotel sehr empfehlenswert, auch weil das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt!

Ik kom hier regelmatig overnachten , omdat er een feestje word gegeven in de buurt. Op een luie zondag kan je met 6 minuten met de auto naar Zollverein en een mooie wandeling maken of naar het museum.
