My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary from Sept.12-19, 2024. The house is a little older, but the kitchen and one of the bathrooms have been remodeled and are very nice. The other rooms are still nice, but they are dated. The hot tub was wonderful and we got in it every day and watched deer, elk and turkeys walk through the back yard. The only thing I didn't like was that the house does not have central heat and air. It does have a mini split unit in the dining room, but it is not enough to keep the whole house comfortable. The bedrooms all had box fans and wall heaters. We were there when the temperature would get up into the 80s during the day and drop down in the 30s at night. It wasn't that bad and the house never got really hot or really cold, but I am just used to setting the thermostat to one temperature and the whole house stays comfortable. That would not stop me from staying in this house again and it is in a great location. You can be in downtown Estes in less than 5 minutes, but you felt like you were in a pretty secluded area.
