Perfect place to serve as base camp for adventure, ability to walk to dinner, and spend time with family. Well appointed, engaged and thoughtful hosts. We are repeat guests and will be back again.
A great base for our family that allowed us to explore Estes Park on foot as well as quick access to Rocky Mountain National Park.Beautiful artisan/craftsman detail in the home- would stay again.
Great place! Very well appointed and in a fabulous location. You can walk to anything in downtown Estes Park. The decor is so fun and interesting, and you can tell there is a lot of care that has gone into this house. The property manager had great communication as well. We hope to stay again!
Well appointed home. Would definitely stay here again for the comfort, cleanliness, and convenience - being so close to town without the hustle. Great communication with hosts. We LOVED our stay and RMNP!!
We had an amazing time at this lovely cottage! The owners really considered everything to ensure our stay felt like a "home away from home." The cottage was thoughtfully designed, and the historical updates were incredible! We enjoyed spending time on the patio and strolling along the riverwalk just across the street. Communication was excellent; the owner even called us upon our arrival to see how we were doing. The cottage was just a few steps from downtown, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. We were only a short drive from Rocky Mountain State Park, and with the new timed entry system, we felt confident we wouldn't miss our reservation time. Additionally, we were just minutes away from the famous Stanley Hotel, which was perfect for a rainy day, and from Lake Estes, where we had a fantastic day kayaking. I highly recommend this charming cottage, and we can't wait to return to the area soon. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing stay.
Absolutely loved this cottage. It was the perfect location for walking in the downtown area and a short drive to RMNP. The cottage had everything you could want for a super vacation. Would recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone visiting Estes Park.
The historic cottage at Riverside was absolutely perfect for our trip to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. The house was incredibly clean, comfortable, and well situated for exploring the area. 10/10
What a beautiful property. Right on the Riverwalk and steps away from main Street. Easy walking distance to everywhere in town and equidistant from each of the entrances for Rocky mountain national Park.
Gorgeously renovated property, the craftsmanship was incredible! The location was perfect for walking in to town, and for our mixed ages group to come and go independently. Whatever construction there was earlier in the year is completed and the area has a very nice and fresh feeling. The layout of the house was ideal for our group to be able to hang out downstairs after kiddo went to bed. The bathrooms were so large and stunning, and the upstair shower made us sad to go back to ours.
The couches are probably nearing their end of comfortable life, but were fairly typical for a rental. My only small issue was that I couldn't find any kids plates/cups/utensils that were advertised in the listing, but my 5yr didn't break anything so we made it work :o) Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful stay that is beyond convenient to Estes Park!
Perfect location for parents and two teen girls. Great proximity to downtown as well as jumping off spot for Rocky Mountain national Park. Charming, clean, and great communication throughout stay. Thanks for a super stay!
Unique historic cottage located in Estes Park across the street from a park and the river. It was an easy and pleasant walk to downtown shops and restaurants. The 2 bathrooms were very nicely renovated. Beautiful hardwood floors. The kitchen is well stocked and supplied with spices and essentials. There is only one TV which is located in downstairs living area, but that area is open to the downstairs bedroom. We had a big bull elk and his family wander right down the street in front of the house and into the park. We enjoyed our stay very much
This location couldnât be better. Just a stoneâs throw from shops and restaurants!
The home is like taking a step back in time, gorgeous finishes with modern luxuries. We had everything we needed and more! Highly recommended this property.
Super great communication with owner and property manager. Very clean and comfortable. Everything in great working order with comfortable kitchen to prepare meals. Nice patio/porch to drink coffee or have a meal. I love old homes so this was a fun stay for me. Walking distance to ropes course for kiddo, shops, and restaurants.
Our family of 5 had a wonderful mid July stay at the cottage. It all began with very clear communication with the hosts on the day of arrival. From there we settled in quickly after an easy trip to the store. We absolutely loved the location. A perfect way to head into RMNP for a day of hiking then return, park the car and walk everywhere in town for dinner and shopping! We were concerned about the construction but it was really a non issue. Encourage others to reserve the cottage for their next stay in Estes ParkâŠwe will. ;)
The house is full of lovely, solid antique furniture from light fixtures to wardrobes. Yet the kitchen features new appliances and every pot or pan you might need. The bathrooms are also spacious and stocked with great towels and shampoos and soap. I've never stayed in a place so fully like a home where the occupants have just left so visitors can move in. From salt and pepper to toliet paper and vinegar and oil--it's all provided making a smooth transition for visitors. Plus the location allows you to walk to downtown Estes with its many fine restaurants and shops. It's really a perfect place to stay! The Klintbergs
Upstairs nicely done. Pretty but not inviting. To many signs. Not inviting.museum like.
Beautiful upstairs but would clear some kitchen counter space. Bathroom and bedding fabulous. Fly and bug issue in master basement bedroom and bathroom intolerable. Dead flies in bed. Flys on you constantly. Slept 1 night down, rest upstairs. Flies started coming up. Really ruined it. Plus, neighbor is a tenant and hangs outside kitchen window. Need blinds desperately. Construction was awful outside home. Early and loud.
Great stay, house was as advertised. The only negative was beyond the owners control and just something to be aware of. Heavy traffic and construction created significant congestion out front of the house.
The house is absolutely beautiful. The proximity to town allowed us to walk to town and explore. The hosts were fabulous and checked in on us periodically to make sure we didnât need anything. This was a great experience for our first trip to Rocky Mountain National Park.
