The cottage was cozy but took some getting used to. Neighborhood was quiet and close to downtown; the neighborhood location created a nice cut through to avoid driving around the town to get to downtown or to other things in Eureka Springs. Only an hour away from Branson and 1.5 hours from Springfield made the trip that much better.
The house advertised check in at 3:00 and I was not sent check-in info until I reached out, the day before our stay, and was told check-in would be at 4:00, but Dalton was very responsive and said if ready earlier then we could check-in then. House advertised as a 4 person hot tub but only was allowed 2 people (only a minor thing because it was just two of us, just not what was advertised). Also, supposed to be a fully stocked kitchen to be able to make whatever you want; stove didn’t work and was not told, minimal pots and pans, only seasoning was salt, pepper, ground mustard and paprika I believe. Only ground coffee was decaf and there were only enough filters for one each day of the stay. Luckily we bring our own coffee just in case, and we brought a little kettle grill so we were able to make our steak dinner we brought (a tradition). There was an electric burner so it saved us, too, but not ideal. Light was sparse (my husband doesn’t like sitting in the near dark). The floors were pretty filthy, too, and the living room and bathroom floors slant so it can make you feel a little off. The hot water lasted for no time at all.
