We stayed at this property in Fairbanks with my husband and another couple, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience despite some initial stress. After my original reservation was unexpectedly canceled a month prior to our trip, I was worried about finding a replacement. Luckily, we found this VRBO rental, and it worked out beautifully. The home is converted from an old hangar into a spacious 3-bedroom house, and it is both modern and cozy. The décor is stylish, everything felt very clean, and the setting on a small body of water made it unique and peaceful. Small planes do occasionally take off across the river, but they were more entertaining than bothersome—we actually enjoyed watching them.A couple of minor drawbacks: there was only one television in the common upstairs area, which felt inconvenient since we gave the upstairs space to the other couple we were traveling with. It would be nice if the master suite (on the lower level) had a TV, or even one in the kitchen/living space, to make it more comfortable for all guests. Also, the towels were left in the washer when we arrived, so we had to dry them ourselves. I think having fresh, ready-to-use towels provided should be a standard part of the stay. That said, these were small issues compared to the positives. The location was excellent—close to downtown Fairbanks, grocery stores, and the activities we wanted to do. Overall, it was a clean, comfortable, and very convenient place to stay, and I’d recommend it
