Our family of 4, plus dog, stayed here for 7 nights & embraced the seclusion. This cabin is nestled in the woods, offering complete wilderness serenity, yet it has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Very spacious & clean. Check-in/out process was flawless, hosts were friendly, responsive to questions, and communicative. There were some food items, seasonings, coffee, laundry det, left from previous guests, which was helpful. We did bring additional trash bags, paper towels, and dry foods to help cut costs. As mentioned by previous guests, the 4.5-mile dirt road to the cabin is rough & bumpy. It wasnât pleasant having no curtains in the Master Bdrm as sunlight blazed thru @ 0530. Also, we had to place both our pillows into one pillowcase as they were not great. Tylenol/electrolyte pkts to stay hydrated as it helps w/alt.sickness. City Market has canned Boost Oxygen if needed. South Park City in Fairplay is rich in history as you can walk into each building. The Fairplay Beach is great for kayaking, fly-fishing, and has trails. You can purchase a fishing license, not cheap, at Tyâs Fly-N-Tackle. In Breckinridge, take the FREE Gondola Peak 8 & enjoy Alpine Slide/Coaster. They do offer a 10% Military discount. We had dinner at the delicious South Park Saloon in Alma. HIGHLY RECOMMEND rafting the Browns Canyon down the beautifully clear Arkansas River with American Adventures Expedition! Afterwards, grab a day pass to one of the Hot Springs to relieve sore muscles.
