Puma's Den is in a great location. We enjoyed the proximity to several trail heads for hiking. The cabin itself is nicely equipped. The beds were comfortable and the other furnishings were more than adequate. The deck is wonderful, but needs refinishing. The view is good, but to say it's a mountain view is a slight stretch. Very nice washer and dryer. BBQ was nice and worked well. We always buy a bag of ice before getting to a property because you never know how well an ice maker works. This one works well and more than kept up with our demand. The downstairs is nicely furnished and remains cool when the sun heats up the upper level. We found it nice to sit in the shade under the upper deck when the sun was intense. Some clean up of that area and some kind of firm surface to accommodate sitting there would be a nice touch. Some aspects of the cabin could use some TLC and the management/ownership seems to acknowledge as much since it is fairly priced relative to neighboring properties. A few helpful suggestions for a little improvement that would go a long way are: Replace the bath towels. They are very stiff and rough. Update the kitchen faucet. It's very old and the handle leaks at times. Clean the windows. It's obvious this doesn't get done with the cleaning fee. A good general clean up of the grounds would make it look like someone still cares about the property. However, none of this robbed our joy of time in the mountains. We had a great stay in Puma's Den
