Microtel offers good value for basic rooms. Well thought out design for room with all basic amenities. The first room assigned had non functioning AC. We given another room need better communication with front desk re equipment malfuncrions. Otherwise property met expectations for price point.

The breakfast was above expectations, especially the sausage muffin and self-made waffle machine. Just 2 minor suggestions to make the stay better for kids: (1) the body soap should be lower on the wall, so that kids can reach it. (2) Be careful, the bathroom floors are really slippery. Some anti-slippery stickers would be very appreciated.

Check in took under 5 minutes. Extremely clean room and bathroom. Mini fridge, coffee maker, closet, reading nook, 2 outlets each underneath lights right by bed. Bed and pillows were comfortable, as well as neat. Free WiFi, closet, mini fridge, coffee maker, book nook by window, desk, 2 outlets each underneath lights by bed, desk, air conditioner and smart thermostat. Clean and comfortable bed/pillows. Large TV for hotel. Not smart TV, but all essential channels. Continental breakfast from 6-10am. Waffle makers, granolas bars, yogurt, fresh pastries, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, juice, all fresh and constantly replenished. Taco Bell (open until 2am), Dunkin Donuts, KFC right in parking lot. Aldi, Burger King (open until 1am), McDonald’s, 7-11 right across the street and next door. Pleasant and helpful staff. Quiet and relaxing stay. GOOD water pressure in shower and clean; as well as body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Completely new/renovated rooms. Gym. Easy/free parking. If my fiancé and I go to Rochester again, we will most definitely be booking and staying here again. Also fair pricing, especially with our reservation being EXTREMELY last minute. Would highly recommend!!!!

Room was smaller than we expected. I had to go to nearby Dunkin for black tea in the morning as the Microtel was out all three mornings we stayed there. Otherwise, although we spent most of every day visiting family nearby, the motel was clean and attractive. We did not eat breakfast there.

This is a recently built hotel, so in good condition. Was clean, although if you want your room cleaned more than every 3 days for a long stay, you have to request it. No problem when we requested a "refresh" to empty little garbage cans and get new towels. Most days, breakfast had many options, waffles, yogurt, egg/meat sandwiches, cereal, breads, oatmeal packets, hard-boiled eggs. A few days, they ran out of dairy milk and yogurt. Friendly staff. Safe area with several fast food places next door.

This had to bet worst continental breakfast I’ve ever had. There was hardly any food No creamer for the coffee the cranberry juice tasted like water they only had almond milk I myself went thru a cupboard for a top to my coffee The toaster was broken We picked this hotel because of the location and thw expectation of a good breakfast

I wanted to give a high rating for this property as we paid a high price but the staff and the end service we received is why the low rating. We were abruptly woken up in the very early morning hours due to the state police banging on a room nearby. It was very scary and frustrating as we didn't feel safe after this incident. When we asked the front desk about this issue and we kept getting the run around, passed from manager to manager and still no response - even after calling when we got back home.
