About this property

The Titlow | Historic Victorian Inn Room

Step back in time by reserving a Victorian room within the Historic Stone House Inn, an original wayside inn on the National Road that began operations in 1822. It's the perfect place to rest and get away while enjoying the Ohiopyle area. Located on the street side of the 2nd floor with a private bath. The room has a beautiful queen size high pencil post bed, flat screen cable television, decorated with ivory floral wallpaper, and an antique sitting chair. The room temperature is managed by the restaurant downstairs. Due to the age of the building, the Victorian rooms do not have individual controls. We appreciate your understanding.
During your stay at this hotel, you'll be within walking distance of Ridge Runner Distillery.

One Night in the Stone Restaurant & Inn

We were there for a short stay, but after a long day of driving, it was a great stay. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant downstairs and the continental breakfast is just what we needed for our drive back home.

What a surprising stay

We were in for only a few hours, but this place was so empty, and creepy. We loved it. We did see one other car when we arrived, and two when we left in the morning. I wish the restaurant and tavern were open when we stayed. You can feel the gistory in the area and building. I wish we would have had more time to dig in to local history.

Ambience is good

This place is hard to find. No address on the listing AND no phone number. Turns out it's in an old, old hotel with a dining room. It's largely self check-in through the hotel's front door which also leads to the dining room. The room has charm but lacks amenities like bedside lamps and the one light switch turned on the fan. To get the overhead light on required standing on the bed (if you're agile enough; the bed is 3 feet high). The bathroom soap dispenser was broken and lacking soap.

We enjoyed the historic aspect of this hotel. The room was uncomfortably warm with no adjustable thermostat. Plumbing needs updating.
