Top of the mountain, perfect home, beautiful views, everything you need from utensils to the design of the home. This is the best stay we have ever had. Highly recommended.
Laurel Mountain is an absolutely beautiful place. Our 2 horses loved the safe, grassy pasture and it was so nice to see them out the back door and while we sat in the hot tub. Due to the storm there were only 6 trails open but they were a good mix of easy to moderate difficulty level.
The house is also very nice and super clean. The owners advised us to pack food as there are no grocery stores nearby, which was good advice. We were able to stay in the house and enjoy the peacefulness without going anywhere. After 2 days of relaxation we finally ventured out to check out several antique stores around Lenoir..
I canât say enough great things about our stay, I highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at Laurel Mountain! This cabin is beautiful and cozy and has amazing views from the large bedroom window. It is located in Leatherwood Mountains, which is so quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.
We knew to stop before we arrived to buy some food and drink, and I highly recommend this to others because the closest grocery store is about 30 minutes from the cabin.
The property manager is easily available is you have questions.
Wow! What a hidden treasure! Stephanie has done an incredible job remodeling this cabin! No detail overlooked! The view was incredible, the calmness, quiet and peacefulness was just what we needed! We will be back!!!
This was booked by our daughters as a surprise for my husbandâs 57th birthday. Stephanie thought of everything right down to the birthday balloon to greet us as we entered, down the to cheese cake in the frig. The house is even more beautiful in person and to wake up to those views each morning was a treat. It has the biggest bathtub Iâve ever seen and a lovely soak with the bath salts was just the trick to ease me into relaxation for the weekend. There is a lovely little restaurant at the bottom of the mountain and we grabbed dinner there and a pizza for lunch the next day. They have a small bar and had a live band on Friday night but we missed most of the show, but they sounded great from what we heard. Unfortunately the trails and zip line were closed until the following weekend so they could make sure everything was safe after Hurricane Helene came through, no worries though, we enjoyed riding our e-bikes around and just enjoying the scenery and the great weather. We also got the chance to grill out one night. I think the best part was turning all the lights off outside and jumping in the hot tub as the temperature turned cooler in the evening and just star-gazing. We were able to relax and totally unplug from the world for 2 days.
