A little gem by the border with Pas-de-Calais

Aux Herbes Hautes is located in a beautiful place, just by the bord of Pas-de-Calais, but not far from Lille and some of the busy parts of the Nord department of France. The owner keeps a pristine apartment comprising a small kitchen, sitting room and bathroom on the ground floor, with a king bed and bath on the first floor. Nice decor all around, comfy beds to sleep, amazing shower to relax and nice toiletries (Shower gel and Soap). Air Conditioning helps with sleeping both upstairs and downstairs. Breakfast was hearty and tasty. Again, the owner was pristine in taking care of details. The only negative point was the inexistence of premises secured parking space. We had to park on the road, in front of the B&B, which was not a significant problem. Also, because of its rural location, there are flies everywhere, again not a significant problem.

Gem, ideal for a quiet relaxing stopover.

Fantastic! Out host could not have been more helpful, the accommodation was immaculate spacious and quiet. The food at breakfast was delicious and filling, our favourite were the home made puddings created by Silvia our host. We had two nights of peace and quiet oh and the Air Conditioning was a big plus for us in the warm nights. The restaurant in the village recommended by Silvia was very good.

Beautiful place

Beautiful place. Stayed only one night but it was perfect. We were in the Fleur de Lin room which is very big and has it's own balcony. We were made to feel very welcome and the breakfast was great too. I really couldn't fault this place and would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely rural setting.

Overall this hotel delivered to our expectations. Excellent use of space when redesigning from farm buildings. Suite comprised 2 floors with a double in each, fittings were good and the finish excellent. Lovely courtyard area to relax in, maybe a glass of red after a long day!

Excellent, comfortable, spacious, quiet accommodation. Superb breakfast included. Well looked after by host(ess). Extensive outside balcony, and lounging area - if the weather had been OK ! The apartment size is big enough to benefit from addition of a couple of chairs (and small table?) for sitting/watching TV, etc. should the weather not allow sitting outside.

Chambre très grande et très propre avec une très bonne literie. Nous avons apprécié le chauffe serviette dans la SDB et la bouilloire pour le thé. Le petit déjeuner était exquis avec salade de fruits frais, viennoiseries, crêpes maison et un assortiment de salés (charcuterie et fromage). Nous étions dans la chambre bleuets et nous reviendrons si l’occasion se présente de revenir dans le coin
