Horrible experience

Rooms weren’t ready upon arrival. We were then given two different rooms they were either wrong or dirty and sometimes both. Apparently everyone the checked in that day had a similar experience because the lobby was full of people complaining.

Not safe.

I felt very unsafe during my stay. First let me say the Front Desk Staff was polite, kind and apologetic. My company books ALOFT in general. I’ve stayed at Aloft Florence several times. I arrived at 10:20 pm and was given a room ALREADY occupied. I opened the door and there are suitcases and food. Fortunately the guests are on the bed which is blocked by a wall. The system showed the room as available and my keys opened it immediately. I’m given a second room parking lot adjacent. When I’m trying to close the curtains I realize there are not curtains. Only the thin transparent shade which leaves the room 100% exposed to anyone in the parking lot. I go back to front desk, it’s almost 11 pm. Maintenance hadn’t informe front desk that shade/curtains cord was non existent therefore not able to use. They give me a third room. Check out is at noon, I place the privacy sign on the door. Morning comes and while I’m getting ready there’s insistent banging on the door. They said they need to service the room. It’s 2 hours before check out! There was dust and some dirt on the floor and in the bathroom as well as shower so I had to wipe the shower myself before getting in. No shower gel. Apparently they mistakenly placed 2 conditioners and one shampoo instead of shower gel. Where is management? There are plenty of hotels in the area. Stay elsewhere.

Pet hair invasion

The room was sad. The flooring in the bathroom was lifting up and glue particles were escaping from the cracks. The shower was leaking, and there was a space between the glass that simply let water come out of it. Lastly, and most egregiously, was the fact that the small patch of carpet that was in our room was replete with pet hair. I literally asked for a vacuum cleaner and cleaned it up myself. On the positive side, the gym was very clean and all the equipment looked new, and the expected kindness of South Carolinians was on display. Even with this, my fiancé and I would never stay at this hotel again.

Fire light in room flash every 5 seconds. I was double charged for the stay (Aloft and Hotel.com. There was no real “breakfast.” There were “electric chargers” but 100% of them were for Tesla so this was useless.!they should specify what kind of chargers they have.

The room's main door did not have a dead bolt lock, the light in the bathroom lit up the whole room. In the morning no breakfast and didn't even have lid's for coffee cup to take out. Come on you can do better!

It was a room with a bed. If you just want a place to sleep this is your place. This was not a 2 queen with sofa bed it was just 2 queens and a modern couch. The bathroom shower door was half ripped from the wall and their breakfast included is not breakfast. It’s glorified pastry plate and not anything like a breakfast should be.

I got into the shower, only to find that the shampoo and body wash dispensers were empty. Someone brought replacements promptly, but then I had to figure out how to remove the empty ones. We woke up in the morning to find that coffee supplies also had not been stocked. Water ftom the shower spilled out onto the floor. Otherwise, the room was adequate.
