We loved the play room, yard, and the library. The bathrooms were also great for us with a 1 and 2 year old. It was so nice to stay here with my family. Communication was prompt and easy with the host, thank you!It was clean, but since we have toddlers it was easy for us to see more on the ground than others would, so it could use deeper cleaning as there were food items in the couch in the library and on the floors - like stepped on on the floors so they were stuck on the floor on the main level.

Another fantastic stay

Nice house, but….

Nice house, but floors were filthy, crumbs on tables, both refrigerators had lots of leftovers in them. Showers were not clean. Beds were nice and comfy, but very little furniture in bedrooms, not even chairs in bedrooms. One table lamp in the entire house. Den furniture was not comfortable

Dream Birthday Getaway

My daughter LOVES Victorian homes. This is the home of her dreams! So, we had a birthday bash weekend. Plenty of room for all the girls upstairs. All pictures are accurate, but honestly the pics can't do this home justice. Owners response time was great and they even sent us historical information about the home. Athe pics don't do the home justice.

Thanksgiving Year Two

Charming home

We loved our stay in the Purple House. The location was perfect for our needs. Located right across from UNA’s campus. The house accommodated our family for our daughter’s wedding weekend. The home was full of character and charm and was very clean. We had a minor problem with the a/c and the host responded quickly and the issue was resolved.

Excellent location / safe neighborhood

This beautiful old home was very nice. The neighborhood seems like a safe place and we enjoyed several nighttime walks across the UNA campus and neighborhood. Only a half mile from Court Street where you can find any kind of food a person could want. The host provided quick answers to my questions. I would recommend staying here.

Florence Landmark. Family Stay

Very historic part of North Alabama. Enjoyed our week stay in the Purple Mansion. Well supplied and very comfortable bedding. We were a little cold but had some space heaters to help knock off the chill. Overall a very comfortable and rare experience to stay in a historic home. The owners are very happy to help and answer questions

Best Thanksgiving Ever!!

I grew up in Florence, and I had always wanted to stay in one of the historic houses located very close to UNA. The Purple House provided a place big enough for my entire family to gather for the holiday for the first time in two years. We had a wonderful time! Beautiful home, great hosts

We had an amazing time at the purple house. The rooms are spacious and the front porch is welcoming. We spent many days on the porch people watching, visiting with family, playing with a neighborhood cat, listening to the UNA lion, and just watching the world go by. The hosts are incredibly responsive and kind and let us know about local events while we were there.

Great location!

We had a great stay at the purple house! It’s within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and Leo the Lion on the UNA campus. The home itself is very spacious! The owners are super quick to respond.
