Was greeted by staff upon check-in, and they were extremely helpful. Held our bags, and even placed them in our room when it became available. Arrived back to finally see the room and realized that there was a leak…and an odor. Michael came up and saw the leak, explained that there were no more rooms (completely booked, and we were ok with it), and cleaned up the floor. This continued for our stay, but not only was the leak still there, but an “not so nice odor” was now apparent. Called down, a woman came up and proceeded to tell me that, “It’s an old building, and this happens…” Terrible service by that person, but we stuck it out. Overall, it’s definitely not a 4-star hotel, but it is a solid 3.5.

Don’t miss this gem in the heart of Florence

This hotel exceeded all expectations! The staff was phenomenal. Not only were they professional, kind, accommodating and super helpful but they are talented! One of the front desk staff is the artist who created the incredible paintings that adorn the hotel and Rachel (an aspiring bakery owner), the woman who runs breakfast, and another lady in the kitchen (also a baker who’s name I don’t remember) made all of the bread and pastries AND left a lovely gift of cookies and biscuits in our room! Breakfast was outstanding! The location could not have been more perfect, it’s an easy walk to every major site in town with tons of great restaurants a stones throw away. The only challenge we encountered was driving to the hotel. The town has permit restrictions and confusing streets if you’re not familiar, which we weren’t. The hotel website has easy to follow directions but we didn’t know because we booked through an outside source. IF you drive yourself into town definitely check the website for directions to save yourself the stress and confusion. They work with a nearby parking garage that collects your car, handles the permits and store the vehicle during your stay which made the process easy and convenient. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, what a wonderful experience. We will absolutely be back should we ever find ourselves back in Florence.

I had a great stay at Solo hotel in Florence recently, and the location truly couldn’t have been better. It was right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly easy to explore everything on foot. The Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, and so many other landmarks were just a short walk away. It honestly felt like everything was right around the corner. Being so centrally located also meant there were tons of cafes, and little shops nearby, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I loved being able to step outside and instantly feel immersed in the atmosphere of Florence. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, not overly fancy, but perfect as a base for sightseeing. If you’re planning to visit Florence and want to be in the middle of it all, this is a fantastic choice.

I have stayed at many amazing hotels, but this one was exceptionally amazing! The city view room was perfect in every way! Spacious, clean and an incredible view of the city! Fantastic location and professional and friendly staff, some of the best we had on this trip. Our room was at the back of the hotel and we had a little street noise which quietened early and is to be expected for such a central location.

Great choice for our Florence Stay

The hotel is perfectly located, close to the Santa Maria Novella Train station (10 min walk) and close to both Uffizzi and Galleria Accademia. The hotel is beautiful, has good amenities and breakfast is really good.

My family and I were so impressed with this hotel and the staff. It's a great, clean and well kept property in a wonderful location. It's a 5 minute walk to the Duomo and it is a great location for food, shopping and sightseeing. We had a suite which was spacious and clean. The hotel staff is what really makes this hotel special. Everyone who works there is so friendly, helpful and attentive to all of their guests. For example, Angela was extremely helpful and offered guests ideas on what to see in other cities. I could say something about all of the front desk staff and bellmen, but I don't have their names. Seriously, they are the best hotel staff!! I 100% recommend this hotel and My family and I would stay here again. We are picky about where we stay and we all loved it.

Perfect location but most rooms have an interior view and they are dark. Nice restaurants literally steps from the front door. Great breakfast. NINA and the other employees were wonderful Except for Maurizio the nighttime employee. He was Rude and cared more about watching tv than he did about helping us.

Great location!

Great location! We could walk everywhere! Easy walk from train station but roads aren’t best on luggage wheels. All the staff were friendly and helpful! Wish there was access to an iron. Too expensive to pay them to do it. Breakfast was great! Rooms were outdated but the location outweighed that. One of our friends had a basic room and was not happy with it. We had a suite and another friend had a room with a view. We were both happy with ours. Definitely would stay there again but not in a basic room.
