Well equipped home with charm. Location was good with everything needed close by. Last of A/C was not an issue. It was in the 90's every day and yet the house was cool with the fans during the day and at night, we did not need the fans. Will definitely be back next time we are in Fort Collins.
As described. Older home but for us it was all about the outdoors and we really enjoyed the front and back yards. Beds were comfy. Located on a rather busy street but didn't mind as view of mountain range and sunset spectacular from front porch, and Julia was awesome to work with going out of her way to accommodate and communicate with us. Highly recommend, would stay again when in FOCO :)
Great location! Fully stocked kitchen, great bathroom space to be able to put away toiletries. Plenty of space to have friends/family over including a huge kitchen table to sit at and play games. House stayed cool with the help of the portable air conditioners while it was 100 degrees outside. Backyard patio was a great place to relax after a day of exploring, the sunshade was appreciated. Loved also sitting on the front porch to watch the sunset. Julia is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Definitely a nice place to stay if you are staying in Fort Collins.
Solid place. Excellent job running a few ACs that kept the place in the lower 70s during the day and down into the mid 60s if desired at nightâŠ.on some upper 90s scorchers. Clean. Kitchen fully stocked with everything needed to cook. Perfect location for Horsetooth and all the good riding North/West/South of town. Nice little backyard patio are with a grill to hang out on, and enough space indoors to feel like you spread out, relax and hangout even with a group of 6-10. Host was prompt with texting. Everything worked exactly as advertised on first round of communication. If you really want downtown activities, there could be closer places, but for the good nature stuff this is S-tier. And still only a 10-15 min bike from old town.
This property works well for us. It is conveniently located for our family that lives in Fort Collins. It is very well stocked and we were not lacking anything. Being able to bring our dog and have a secure fenced yard is the biggest benefit for us! The building is older, but it is quaint and we are very satisfied with our stay. This is our second visit here. We will be back!
Second time staying in this nice home. We enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was great. Beds were very comfortable. Nice living room space. Host - great communication with us.
We had a great time staying here. The location is quiet and perfect for getting to downtown or the foothills and hiking. Julia was a very communicative and checked in on us to see if we needed anything. The house is nice, with comfortable beds and a big yard in the front(fenced), and a very nice patio area in the back. We would definitely stay here again.
This was a great place to stay for planning my brother's wedding rehearsal. All of us had a great time at this location and was close to other activities we had planned. The property manager was also great.
Julia was an amazing host. Excellent communication, and every possible need or question was thought of and answered. She is friendly and organized. Her attention to detail really makes this a special property, and an easy place to stay. The cabin was absolutely as described and we had a very comfortable stay. It was great to be able to bring our dog along and she enjoyed the outdoor space. We loved the location on the quiet west end of town. Close to hiking at Horsetooth, and a quick drive to delicious food and fun in Old Town.
This property was sheer delight and comfort for us! The wonderful bed linens and towels, complete kitchen with teas and coffee (we cooked at home most of the time) as well as a fine laundry room with soap and plachang
We had everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner except the pan on which the turkey was cooked. We expected that and brought one. The home was cozy and warm. It's old and squeaky, which didn't bother us and even gave it some character. There was a very nice fenced-in space outside for our little dog. The home was very clean. The price was right and conveniently located.I e-mailed the host a few times and she always answered promptly.
This cottage is decorated with fun colors and upscaled items. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and thoughtful touches. This place is for people who enjoy comfortable more than sleek and fancy. We all slept well. The bathroom is tiny, which might be hard for a large person but was fine with us.
Everything we needed for our week stay. A fenced yard for the pups, ample bedroom and storage space, a large table in the kitchen for working, and a perfect location. We had the RMNP about 1 hour to Estes, mtn bike trails around a mile away, road bike paths really close, and Old Town just a few miles away. Near an intersection that makes it easy to get to Horsetooth, Old Town, Laporte, etc. seemed to be a quiet area. Just a relaxing space. Iâd stay again for sure.
The manager of this property was great and communicated quickly and clearly. The bedrooms and bathroom are very cute. The kitchen is well-appointed for cooking. The house has real potential and I liked all the little decorative touches. Unfortunately the house was not clean and we were, overall disappointed by this rental. The rental smelled like a campfire due to the AC pulling air in through the fireplace which needed to be cleaned. The baseboards were dirty and the corners had cobwebs. There was a line of urine/toilet splash on the outer, cloth shower curtain when we arrived. The couch was basically thin cloth over springs and the white bed squeaked so much it was not useable. The kitchen table had a twin bed sheet as a table cloth and was so beat up it could not be used without the sheet. The fenced yard was very nice and a great place to eat breakfast while looking at the foothills, but there is a yard of abandoned cars behind this place, which distracts from the property. I wish we could post photos because I have them. I would not stay here again. It got the job done, but is far less nice than the other Fort Collins VRBOs that I have stayed in.
The house was cute and charming. The kitchen was well appointed with pretty much appliance or cooking gadget you could ask for. The cold glasses in the freezer were a nice touch. The living room was a comfortable space to hang out. There was a nice selection of puzzles and games available (which we added to when we left). The beds and pillows were the perfect amount of squishy and supportive.
That said, it appears I didn't read the listing closely enough when we booked the property. We stayed in Fort Collins during a heat wave and were looking forward to the advertised AC to keep us comfortable. There was a portable AC unit in the living room but the exhaust tube had tears in it so it just pumped hot air into the room. We turned it off the night we checked in. Thankfully there were a bunch of fans, but they only did so much. I don't know that it's fair to say that the property has AC when it 1) didn't work and 2) isn't central air. It might be worth moving that tidbit up a bit in the listing going forward.
While our stay could have been a little more comfortable temperature-wise, the house was exactly what we needed while we were in town for a wedding. My friends and I had a lovely time in Fort Collins, and a huge thank you to Julia for being such a kind hostess during our trip.
My husband and I stayed with our 1 year old lab. Our daughter, who is in Grad school was able to come and visit with a friend. Great place to sit around the fire pit and play music together. The second night it rained and we gathered in the living room. It was wonderful to have a fenced in yard for the dog and to be able to play together! The home is old, but has charm. It is very clean and nicely presented! Everything you could possibly need was available in the kitchen and bathroom. We would come back for sure!
