Aloft hotel is trying to be "modern" style hotel, but while trying they have looked over some basic comforts. Having the beds face the window is nice, but the windows are so thin you can hear all the traffic outside. The bathroom layout is definitely not the most convenient. The dividing wall between the head end of the beds and the bathroom doesn't even go to the ceiling. The shower since there's no bathroom door has no privacy especially since the shower door is only partially frosted, there is a door where the toilet is however you have walk past the open sink/shower area to get there. The staff seemed to be very pleasant and helpful, especially for being so busy with cruises coming in and out on the same day. we booked this hotel because they offered free shuttle to and from the airport and cruise ship, however when we got there we had to pay $45 to be dropped off at the ship that was 1 mile from hotel.

I liked how close it was to the cruise terminal. The hotel has an airport shuttle. It also has a service on site to take you to your cruise ship which was fairly efficient.

The hotel is very convenient for stays before/after a cruise. It is very close and convenient to the airport and cruise port. There isn’t much around as far as food. The area is a little sketchy but I felt safe at the hotel. If you are looking stay in Ft. Lauderdale I would choose a different hotel but if you are cruising this hotel is fine.

Aloft is becoming my favorite hotel

I would definitely stay at Aloft Fort Lauderdale Airport again. The room was perfect....it was clean, quiet and with a comfortable bed. I love the layout of Aloft. This was my third stay in 3 different cities and very consistent service in all three. We dined in the open reception area. Food was excellent. The restaurant area was super busy that night but the staff was pleasant even though we knew they were stressing out. Kudos to the bartender.....she was great.
