The stay was okay. Nick was nice and helpful. The main issue is that we couldnât find the place. If it werenât for some very kind people that lived off the main road, we would have abandoned our stay. There was no cell service so we lost our ability to use GPS and we couldnât message the host to get better directions. The road leading up bro the area is supposed to be 199th Place, but the road sign says 108th Place. There is no sign for 199th place. Because of this, and how bad maneuverability was (we were towing a boat), I would not stay again.
Erika and Nick are very accommodating hosts. Rental is nice. This is a very rural experience so make sure that is what you are looking for. Road in is dirt and very rough. Which was fine for us. Note: there is no pool as stated.
We had a good stay! Host was very nice and helpful when we had a need. Cabin is off the beaten path. If you cannot live without Verizon cell service, this would not be an area for you. Host does offer WiFi at the cabin. Thereâs a river within walking distance if you like to do a little fishing. If you plan on swimming in the pool, I recommend double checking with the host to make sure it is open for use. Same with the hot tub. Charcoal grill available for guest use.
The husband & I do not care for the big cities & towns. So Jaunitaâs Cabin was just right. Itâs cozy. Itâs comfortable. Itâs delightful.Itâs right close to the Ocklawaha River which is awesome.Salt Springs just down the road. Fabulous. If you want city-like conveniences and attractions, choose elsewhere. But if you want the peace & quiet of the Florida woods this is a lovely spot. We stayed for the month of November 2024. Loved it.Oh and the pet chickens were a sweet surprise.Nick & Erika were excellent hosts. For us, it was thoroughly delightful.
I couldnât have found better place in Ocala to stay than this pretty, comfortable and cozy cabin. The place in pretty near to downtown and the Springs which is very convenient, it literally took us around 15-30 minutes to each place to visit, it depends. What I suggest is if you go to restaurant or dinner make plans early, since places close kind of early. My boyfriend end I had an excellent time, we even enjoyed the campfire that the owner made for us at night, it was awesome to have sometime enjoying the sky at night, we really enjoyed it. The place also has a nice jacuzzi that we could use for free, and they provided a lot of information about the city, in addition they provide boat tours at very reasonable prices. I would love to go back very soon. Thanks Erika and Nick for providing such great service,âhelpful info and advice to us.
The property was very nice and peacful. If you are looking to get away from the everyday rush in this world, this would be the right spot. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. There was an incident that was out of everyones control, but the property owners handled it well. Nick and Erika were wonderful hosts. They even brought us some bread pudding from a restaurant they had visited (they did invite us to come along but my hubby and I were pooped). It was a vacation we will not forget. Thank you, Nick and Erika! đ
The property is quaint and off the beaten track.
The property owners treated us like family; we could not have asked for a more enjoyable trip.
If youâre looking for shopping and spas, etc. The property is about a half hour from town, so this is might not be the place for you.
Itâs exactly what we were looking for though.
Bed was SUPER comfortable. Zip lining, Horseback riding and springs all within an hour. wish ROCU had the major news networks. and the driveway is an an adventure in itself.
We didn't enjoy the location, too remote for what we expected via photos. The pool was not in condition for entering, the rooms smelled old and musky. The vinyl flooring was mismatched as was the interior design. The host was extremely nice and cooperative with offering a partial refund
My woman and I had a wonderful time here. The host was very accommodating and the interior was thoroughly clean and inviting. The road to get to the property itself is in dire need of maintenance, but thatâs nothing to do with the property itself. The one critique is the pool; it was dirty (had to clean it myself) and there were electrical outlets & wires running by the steps into the pool. That aside, we had no complaints and only praise.
Property owner sent me a request for an additional $200 for smoking âŠ.. no one in my party smoked !!!! Nor do any of us smoke !! And I messaged the owner about the lack of air conditioning but never got a response !! But thank you for the balloons for my daughters birthday !!!!
We enjoyed our stay here, it was clean, cozy, and matched all the photos. I will say that I wish I had known the last 0.3 miles of the drive is very rough dirt roads. I would have driven the Jeep instead of the brand new Camry. Other than that, it was a pleasant visit.
Nick and Ericka were extremely attentive and gracious hosts! The place looks exactly like the pics, and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable! Nick lit the bonfire for us each night, they had all the things you don't think of- charcoal for the grill, big spray, etc. Definitely recommend this place for some peace and relaxation!!
