Our stay itself was generally fine while we were there. The backyard lighting was dim, so we didn’t feel comfortable using the hot tub in the evenings as we had planned, but otherwise the property met expectations. The more difficult part was the communication and post-stay experience. We had to request access details because we had not received them three days before arrival. Then, six days after checkout, we noticed a charge of 295 was made for alleged damages. We provided photo evidence from the listing showing that at least one of the claimed issues existed prior to our stay. Vrbo opened an investigation, and the following day the host apologized and stated the damage was caused by a subsequent guest, offering a small discount on a future stay.Unfortunately, the post-stay accusation and dispute overshadowed what was otherwise an acceptable stay. Because of this experience, I would not book this property or others managed by this host again. If you do choose to book, I strongly recommend taking time-stamped photos or video at both arrival and departure for peace of mind.
