The location is fantastic. Everything was clean and well kept. The only suggestion I have is a ceiling fan and sound machine in the bedroom, but thatâs just personal preference!
This was a great spot for visiting Fredericksburg. Clean, unique layout and a beautiful spiral staircase! The only issue we ran into was that it is not a 2 bedroom as listed. Luckily we had an air mattress for another guest.
2 rolls of toilet paper toilet paper for 3night stay is Diabolical ⌠Also the no central air in a structural building built in the early 1900âs is a crime also I was literally sweating my sins away ! I guess that is fitting since it was an old converted church. The place was very aesthetically pleasing as far as decor. But nearly 500 American dollars LATER these little hiccups/amenities RUINED the overall experience. For example an Ice Maker that doesnât produce no ICE. If you knew better youâd do better!
This property is in an excellent location. While this property is well situated for visiting Fredericksburg, it is not well suited for visiting with friends. The layout of the apartment is awkward. The other thing that was particular to our group was the lack of sunlight in the apartment. The beautiful stain glass window over the kitchen sink is not a representation of any of the otherwindows
The space was clean. Many shops and coffee shops were within walking distance. It is listed as a 2 bedroom, which it is not. The main floor is a small kitchen with a table. Upstairs is a spacious ensuite and down a narrow spiral staircase is a living area that contains a daybed and pullout couch (which is what they are considering the second bedroom). The listing is misleading because it shows the same bedroom twice, leading you to believe there are 2 bedrooms. It served it's purpose. Check in and out were easy.
This place was central to everywhere we wanting to go, everything was walking distance for us which was great. The house was very nice and clean the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.
This unit is in the perfect spot to walk to all things downtown. Weâve stayed multiple times as our son is a student at UMW and will plan to use it in upcoming years too!
The property was perfect for us! I love a quirky space, and this renovated church fit the bill. It was located a block away from where our event was, so, perfect. My only issue was with the property management, we decided we wanted to arrive a day earlier if possible. I made the reservation modification request, no response, two days later I sent a message, that response was âweâll look into itâ. Sent another message two days after that, similar response. I could see on the availability calendar that the unit was available. Finally I called and got a response. Iâve never had to put so much effort into a rental before. It was frustrating and with everything else I had going on to prepare for the weekend.
Pros: Great central location with easy access to shops, dining, historical attractions. Cons: only controllable heat was on 3rd floor bedroom. 1st 2 floors were a bit cold for comfort. Narrow spiral staircase access to tv/sitting area not advisable for anyone with mobility problems or small children.
The best part of this stay was the proximity to downtown. The worst part- sketchy characters hanging out behind the location, lights out on front porch, and stairs leading to third floor. No extra linens- for more than two guests. The mattress in the master bedroom is shot. The kitchen was redone - but lacks enough utensils and cookware. The carpet needs to be replaced (which explains why light on steps is out). Lastly, the prop mgmt co DID respond promptly to our concern about wiring from the electric pole hanging over the one parking spot. I would say this vrbo is only fit for a male with a dog. Pictures online are deceiving. And the price per night is too high.
We had to stay in town while our plumbing was being repaired and I really liked liked this property. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was easy to use. I wish there were more than four plates, bowls, etc since it felt like you had to wash them after each use. The second bed is in the basement area down the spiral staircase, and not super private.
