This was a wonderful stay in the magnificent Texas hill country during the spring wildflower season in a great nearby-to-Fredericksburg country home. The house is beautiful, well-maintained, and excellent in every respect. It's also like being located in a wildlife reserve... white-tail deer, wild turkey, jack rabbits, donkeys, etc. The deer and turkey were literally everywhere. The nearby owners are the best hosts we've ever encountered in years of using VRBO's. They made the house come alive for us as they recounted its building and history within the family. The area wildflowers were great, and Fredericksburg is always has something new to do... the main street, restaurants, the Admiral Nimitz Museum, the National Museum of the Pacific War, and the uniquely sacred very old cemetery at the east end of town.Nearby attractions we always visit include the Wildseed Farms, Luckenbach, Enchanted Rock, etc, etc.Over the years, we've stayed in many special places... but Omie's Haus is among the very best, hands down. We've already booked another stay for next year's bluebonnet season. What more approval and accolades can we give! Omie's Haus and its hosts are the best!
