In the seaside town of Keya in Itoshima City, a 90-year-old traditional Japanese house has been fully renovated to create Usual Resort Keyanz — a home filled with the warmth and aroma of wood.
The sea is just a 3-minute walk away, and the popular “Totoro Forest” is only a 10-minute walk from here.

About the House

Stylish, fully renovated traditional Japanese home (approx. 200㎡) with 7 rooms: 1 bedroom, 2 Japanese-style rooms, 2 Western-style rooms, a dining kitchen, and a loft. The entire main house is reserved exclusively for you.

Equipped with 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets—perfect for large groups.

Features a kamado (traditional stove) room and a loft for a taste of Japanese culture. You can cook delicious rice over the kamado (usage fee: ¥4,400 including tax).

The garden has been redesigned into a modern Japanese style with hedges and a chōzubachi (stone water basin). Relax on the engawa veranda while enjoying the soothing sound of water and lush greenery. The garden is also visible from the tatami rooms.

Maximum occupancy is 10 guests (not including children under 2).

Child Policy

Children aged 2 and over are charged the same rate as adults.

Children under 2 can stay for free if they share a bed with a parent.

Note: On Vrbo’s booking system, children under 2 are automatically counted in the total price if entered. Please do not add the number of children under 2 when booking.

Though a traditional house, the bathrooms, washrooms, toilets, and kitchen are all modern and fully functional.

6 air conditioners and 2 fan heaters ensure comfort year-round.

Sleeping arrangements: 2 single beds in the bedroom, and futons for up to 8 guests in the Japanese-style rooms.

Fully equipped kitchen with IH stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, coffee maker, electric kettle, basic seasonings, cookware, and tableware. The sink has a built-in water purifier.

Free washing machine and gas dryer (Rinnai’s Kanta-kun).

3 air purifiers and free high-speed Wi-Fi (334 Mbps).

Provided: bath towels, face towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrush sets, hairbrushes, shower caps, razors, hair dryers, tissues, slippers, and down comforters (no yukata provided).

Space for 2 standard cars behind the house.

For large vehicles or more than 2 cars, please use a nearby parking lot (2 minutes on foot).

House Rules

Check-in: 15:00–19:00 / Check-out: 11:00

Host lives in a separate building on the same property and will hand you the keys in person at check-in.

The property is in a residential area. Please keep noise to a minimum at night.

No smoking indoors. Smoking is allowed outdoors with a portable ashtray.

No pets.

No refunds for reductions in the number of guests or nights after check-in.

Additional day guests will incur an extra charge—please ask the host for details.

No convenience stores or supermarkets within walking distance; the nearest are about a 10-minute drive.

Take the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line to JR Chikuhi Line’s Chikuzen-Maebaru Station.

Bus: Take the Keya Line from the North Exit, get off at “Keya Kōbaiten” (~30 min), then walk 3 minutes to Keyanz.

Tip: A car is by far the most convenient way to get around Itoshima. We recommend bringing your own or renting one. Parking for up to 2 cars is available on-site; additional cars can use the large lot 2 minutes away.
